Following her death, a number of entertainers have come forward with heartwarming ‘When I Met Whitney‘ stories in memory of the Houston’s life.
From Britney Spears to Kelly Rowland, very few acts can say they weren’t touched by Whitney in one way or another. If not by her music but by her larger than life personality.

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again, Kim can be quite endearing when she wants to be, and we hope to see more of this side to her from now on.
While we don’t want to re-open any old wounds, we do feel it’s worth noting that Whitney and Faith Evans were close acquaintances.
This, possibly why she wasn’t as ‘forthcoming’ with Kim when they met, seeing as Kim had been having a well publicized affair with Evans’ husband, an affair Whitney would no doubt have known about.
Either way, this was a beautiful story and we’re sure Whitney fans will appreciate it.

I imagine Lil Kim thinks she is to hip-hop what artists such as Madonna, Whitney, and Mariah are to pop and/or r&b. Her fans obviously do as well. She is not. She undoubtably has no claim to being a Queen of hip-hop or of Rap. The three divas mentioned even at their lowest point could produce an album and sell hundreds of thousands of copies and debut in the top 10. Whitney is definitely a Queen of pop (there are a few), but she’s the voice too! I think she deserves both titles and it was nice of Kim to share some kind words about her.
Someone said that Kim may see herself as the Queen of Hip Hop and that she shouldn’t – they’re right! I don’t see Kim as a Queen, but I understand those that do. She’s up there! I just feel that Missy or Lauryn trumps her and currently own that title for very different reasons. Lauryn may have only 1 album, but it changed the face of hip hop. Kim is probably right underneath them two(with Foxy).
