With a new album and movie on the way, many are hoping 2012 is nothing short of ‘Epic’ for Ciara.
Starring in Adam Sandler‘s ‘That’s My Boy‘ this summer, her fifth LP is set to follow shortly- heavily anticipated by her fans and naysayers alike.
So in support of the new campaign, she spoke on its premise this week, branding it ‘fun’.
Her thoughts below…
As always, That Grape Juice is eager to see how well Ciara will do this time.
Because as far as we’re concerned, she, above any other Pop potential, has what it takes to ‘snatch Rihanna’s wig’, on a commercial and popularity front.
Yes, though she has a long way to go before matching Fenty’s chart feats, she’s one perfect era away from the glory she stays missing out on.
Here’s hoping LA Reid has a few tricks up his sleeve.

Pop but an urban edge will be successful. She just needs several strong singles and expensive videos. The project needs to be big and successful and she would STRONGLY benefit from jumping on a few peoples mixtapes. Maybe some new up and coming people. Establish her as fresh and in demand again.

Many people are beginning to realize that Ciara is a WEAK vocalist. She will have to come real hard with some of that crap that is radio friendly right now because she is lacking in vocal AND fanbase depth. The latter being the major difference between her and Rihanna. On top of that, I doubt that she will have the type of backing that she needs to really muster some decent sales.

She has no real fanbase. Labels care about profit above all. LA Reid better put his time and effort in someone who can become global.

Hey @giftedsince92 did you even read Anne’s post? She clearly said anything is possible. She said its possible for Ciara to come back, just not very likely. You don’t even need to work in the music industry to know that. It’s basic knowledge that people who have an album that sells under 200,000 and then release ANOTHER one that sells 40,000 almost NEVER can come back. It’s possible but incredibly unlikely.
And at @sleazy I don’t like the second part of nickis new album either. But at the end of the day whether she’s a sellout or not doesn’t change the fact that the chances of Ciara making a comeback are slim to none. If she does more power to her but almost nobody comes back from sales like that. Maybe if it was one flop album but when thE second does WAAY worse… It’s not rocket science.

I’m actually wanting to see CiCi do well. I don’t think that her career is over or that she should throw in the towel. There is a market for her sound. All it takes is 1 good hit and things could easily turn around for her. I’m SURE that there are numerous artist out there that wish they had CiCi’s current fan base, exposure, history of prior popular singles….ect. She has talent and if LA Reid can help to promote her the right way and kind of repackage her brand then i’m all for it. Rhi and Bey are cool but we need the variety not just one or two of us representing in the industry.
