Melody Thornton Dishes On Pussycat Dolls Break-Up; Hasn’t Spoken To Scherzinger In 9 Months

Published: Sunday 18th Mar 2012 by Sam

It’s been almost three years since the Pussycat Dolls scattered into Pop oblivion. And yet remarkably none of the members have disclosed the exact reason for their abrupt disbanding.

That is until now.

Hot on the promo trail for her new mixtape, ‘P.O.Y.B.L (P*ss On Your Black List)”, former Doll Melody Thornton stopped by This Is 50, where she revealed the exact reason for the ‘Don’t Cha’ chanters.

The long-awaited answer awaits after the jump…

Refreshingly candid, it was great to see Ms. Thornton keep it all the way real. Although, it’s clear she reeled herself in somewhat when talking her repressed role in the group.

Still, with her wings now unclipped, the songbird is free to soar and will be doing just that on That Grape Juice’s The Splash next week!

Her mixtape is amazing. Real, authentic, consistent, refreshing and emotional. Love it.

I really hope this girl gets a deal with a major record label. She has the talent, all she needs is the promotion (She better not end up like Nicole).

She seems very likable in this interview. and btw, p.o.y.b.l. is EXCELLENT. i always knew she could sing, much more than the silly riffs they allowed her in PCD, but her range is incredible on the mixtape. I’d hope she gets a label that can appreciate her talent and the “class” she seems to want to uphold. A+ melody.

i used to root for her when she was on pcd. she just talks to un-ladylike for my liking, always cussing like a sailor thats why i dont care for her no more. i just came ere for the goss on the break-up and she dint even share much meh

She doesn’t have any star quality. but good luck to her on her endeavors. And ppl are barely supporting mainstream artist let alone independent ones.

I am so glad you guys are jumping behind Melody. She was always my fav from PCD. She blows Nicole out of the water.

I really hope her label puts effort behind her and gives her the proper training. Because if she was a force then when she was a novice, now she will be a force to be reckoned with.

I cannot wait. I expect huge things from her. 🙂

MAN! Her mixtape is so ALBUM worthy! The sound is freaken unique and Awesome! Like she said it’s a bit old school but she has her style added that makes it very modern and very appealing! This is the sound and kind of music that needs to be heard and promoted, not some pop/auto tune/dance which is like how almost everyone else’s records are in the mainstream.
