Ne-Yo Announces New Single

‘Libra Scale’.

It’s a word Ne-Yo will be hoping to erase from the memory of the masses.

For, in a somewhat impressive feat, the 2010 set serves as the first (and only) of his 4 album tally to commercially under-perform.

Hoping to reverse his fortunes, Motown’s newest signee, is readying his next set ‘The Cracks In Mr. Perfect’ for a Summer release.

Hitting the pre-promo trail, the singer-songwriter has revealed that the project’s lead single is titled…

‘Don’t Make ‘Em Like You’

The announcement came during the 32 year old’s interview with our friends over at AOL’s Boombox.

During the informative chat, the ‘Irreplaceable’ songwriter, confirmed that the singlewas produced by London-based hitmaker Harmony, who joins “usual suspects” Stargate, as well as No I.D on the LP.

Given the length and breadth of Ne-Yo’s talent, he’s not one deserving of a flop. That said, ‘Scale’ was quite the muddled mess. Here’s hoping he hits a home-run this go round.

Hmmmm… so over Ne-Yo now, tbh, boring.
    Better be original and good.

One in a Million and Genuine Only are still my JAMZ! That album wasn’t a total disaster like some people are making it out to be. I can’t wait for the new album. Just stay away from the dance music pleeeeease!!!

    The Cracks In Mr. Perfect????
What Ass Cracks is he talking about? Ms. Ne-Yo think she slick, Having kids by his “Friend”, still not married at 32, and constantly at gay bars wearing fruity outfits. He needs to pull a R. Kelly and make “Trapped in the Closet”.

He seems to have a different view on how he’s perceived with that album name because I’ve personally never viewed him as a gentleman, humble, close to perfection, etc. . He’s talented and will probably be a great A&R exec but for some reason I’ve unfortunately never enjoyed him as an artist. I’m sure his next album will do fine though.

Still not sold on that album name. But, as long as it skews R&B and not whatever today’s trend is, I have a feeling I’ll like it.

Just hope he doesn’t skimp on the track count this time…

It had better not be dance music. That’s very unbecoming for a black man. Black folks can dance their ass off; but to uptempo R&B…not fruity electropop.
