New Song: Ester Dean – ‘Let It Grow’

Ester Dean New Song: Ester Dean Let It Grow

Ester Dean is making it overwhelmingly clear with every new song that makes it’s way online that she desperately wants a taste of the spotlight. The woman behind Rihanna‘s biggest hits (‘Whats My Name’, ‘S&M’) finally comes out of her shell with the self-penned track, ‘Let It Grow’.

Listen to Dean’s latest Rihanna knock-off offering after the jump and sound-off below.

‘Let It Grow’, produced by Tricky Stewart will be featured in the new Dr. Seuss movie ‘The Lorax’. ‘The Lorax’ will be released by Universal Pictures on March 2, 2012.

  • If she really wants her spot, she needs to do 2 things

    1. A total makeover, a whole new image and attitude. She should take note from Missy Elliot , not from Rihanna or Beyonce.

    2. Stop writing songs for others, like Keri Hilson did when she started her solo career.

  • I think the issue is she has already given her sound to Rihanna, unfortunately…so everyone is going to notice the similarities immediately unless she can find something unique.

I’m rooting for her though! She is crazy talented.

  • Yeah, I like her, but I don’t think she has a chance in hell in this flooded market. Most of her best songs have been given to other artists. And, as far as TGJ goes SHUT THE FUCK UP. How can this be a Rihanna knock off when she wrote the fucking songs? The poster above me got it right.

This song is for a film, and she’s done a great job on it.

  • I’m sorry, but is she delusional? She is a talented songwriter, why can’t she just continue to make hits for others? She’s clearly not the pop star she’s hoping to be. She doesn’t have the look, she doesn’t have the personality and she doesn’t have the voice…I just can’t get into her voice, it’s not pleasant sounding. Give up fool, you’re embarrassing yourself! Good luck to her anyway…

  • Basically, Ester Dean is Rihanna, if you hear any of Esters demo’s Rihanna sings them the same. Now, thees nothing wrong with that if you’re a songwriter , but if you want to be an artist you cannot sound like your biggest customer. She needs a total overhaul

  • Sorry, ‘Rihanna knock off’? Who the fuck do you think writes Rihannas songs? I’d love to see Rihanna without Ester Dean, pretty much she’d have swapped places with Shontelle if that was the case. Rude Boy, yep Ester. What’s my name, yep Ester. S&M, yep Ester. Then she pretty much took control of Talk That Talk. she may not have the biggest look of a popstar but crawl out of Rihannas ass. She will never be a knock of Rihanna, she is the core of Rihann!

  • Her voice sounds rough or something… it’s weird. She doesn’t have the voice to be a star. She should just stick to writing.

How does she not have “the voice” when she sang the hook on nicki minaj’s superbass? That’s a complete lie. Jasmine sullivan has a husky voice she still got success!
