I LOVE SWV but I think this album is gonna flop, they’re barely promoting it! But I hope it does well b/c we need real music like this!

I have all 3 albums but artists that go indy will have problems selling. Will preview before I buy this.

  6. Theman March 8, 2012

I hope they do well, but most indy artists do have issues selling. They aren’t even performing their current single anywhere.

Getting it! “Co-Sign” sounds like “So Into You” and I love it!

Indie is the new Major. Big labels robbing people with their shady 360’s because iTunes almost bankrupted the industry. It’s a hot flamming mess. Remember folks, promotion costs big money. Indie artists just don’t have that much $ on hand to begin with. They need to hit up the old school fans asap and they arent watching 106th & Park. Its majorly 70’s & 80’s babies!

I wish people stop saying its going to flop. I’m sure they realize this album is not going to be a best seller.

I like the song Co-Sign; and all of their prior works. Sing Coko!!

It’s #1 R&B and #22 overall on iTunes the 1st day out, so it doesn’t look like it’s flopping at all. Even though I can say it’s HOT after listening to it, I realize it very well could have, given SWV’s low profile compared to more famous soul artists these days. But they actually have been doing TV appearances and performances to promote it.

Plus a lot of fans from the ’90s have been anticipating their comeback and are now 30- and 40-somethings are probably not as inclined to get music via file-sharing as younger people. The older fan base has more disposable income too. So I think the album will do quite well, relatively of course given the overall decline in record sales in recent years.

I HOPE it does well too. I’m doing my part by buying the CD for myself and a copy for a relative as a gift.

SWV is BACK!!!!!!!!!!! I’ve been a fan since i was 12 years old, now 30. And i can truly say i’ve been waiting on this come back album and what a great one it is!!! These ladies really did a great job on this album and they look amazing!!! Every song on the album is great from beginning to end! And i love that they still sound like SWV with their original sound. They didn’t come out trying to sound like today’s music, they kept it original ! Thank you SWV for coming back!!! #Fan4Life
