With the latest season of Celebrity Apprentice drawing to a close, contestant Aubrey O’Day is cashing in on the opportunity with the release of new single ‘Wrecking Ball’.
Set to debut on iTunes tomorrow, the cut was penned by Pia Toscano (of American Idol fame) and produced by David Hodge (who helmed Kelly Clarkson‘s ‘Because of You’).
Get a taste of the track, ahead of its full premiere, below…
We’ll reserve full judgement until tomorrow. Although it must be said, if anything is a “wreck”, it’s that horrid font on the cover. Ew. Here’s hoping the song itself delivers.
Your thoughts?

I agree. The song just screams “hit”. Hopefully people actually buy it and support it. It go very big i don’t know why I feel like this is the right song for her for people to take her seriously as an artist

This song is a generic sounding singalong song that would feature on or during a popular TV show. Its got the potential to be a hit but not with the porn star cover image.

I wish her hair would have been more polished on the cover.

Its pop. She will be a hit. Does that make me want to buy it……….nope. Its generic pop nothing Kity Kat or Taylors Stiffness wouldn’t put out as a filler.

Wrecking Ball is far from generic pop – its a song about the hard side of love and yet its optimistic. Aubrey O’Day’s vocals are both beautiful and strong. Its not the usual pop-inspired love song at all. It goes a bit outside the box and its really creative. Of course, its Aubrey O’Day – its not going to be just the normal average song. I can’t stop listening to the preview. She did a truly wonderful job with this and I think its going to become an absolute hit. @BeltwayFierce

I’m riding for Aubrey… She has always been my favorite member of DK, and the one with the most appeal to go solo and have a career solo. wise.
I like the sound of the snippet.
I absolutely HATE the red hair on her (blonde suits her much better, actually her dirty blonde–remember when she debuted on MTV and was a brunette!!!), and the cover I HATE even more so even more tho!
