With new single ‘Put It Down’ burning up iTunes, Brandy is putting in ample face-time on the media-circuit. Her latest stop? The NARM Music Biz Awards, which was held at the Hyatt Regency Plaza in California last night.
Sporting a bouncy new hair ‘do, the 33 year old turned heads in a strapping black dress as she arrived on the carpet of the event which saw Katy Perry and legend Lionel Richie were honored.

Omg, ya’ll can’t be serious with this Kelly Ro stuff. Brandy has been wearing her hair like this since ’07. Google Brandy and Utlra hair and you’ll see for yourself. It’s a very similar curly look. If anyone is the follower in the friendship(between Brandy &Kelly Ro) it’s definitely Kelly, hands down. Following in Kelly’s footsteps will not get Brandy anywhere, trust me!

i dont think its about hating…im a brandy fan…..if you’re gonna come out with a new era. It seems kinda late to borrow a look that has become someone else’s signature. I think we’re insulting our own intelligence to try and say no one OWNS a look. Of course not, but we do know what look is associated with whom… I hope she finds her way with her look cuz the music is great.
I guess people forgot, Brandy wore curls before back in the 90’s if you look at her photos, so this is not new, yes Kelly Rowland wore curls, Brandy wore them too, you guys must be 25 years old and younger… SMH!!! i dont care who rocked what first. We know Kelly, Bey, and others werent the first to rock their looks. But in fashion, its who’s owning the look now and thats what people will associate it with. You can have multiple looks. But theres always that one look that just suits you best and what most ppl will equate you with. For brandy, it was her braids or long straight hair. Beyonce, the long blonde/brown curly hair, Kelly, now its her curly black hair (of which shes been wearing the last year or so)…etc etc. Not saying Brandy and others cant change up their looks, cuz thats what makes us creative persons, but be mindful that certain looks look best and are most associated with certain people/personalities. And in this instance, this is KELLY ROWLAND. So #boom #bam #BYE. You’ll deal.

Kelly R did bring the big curly hair in style! Kelly have changed her hair back to straight just recently…. nobody rocked the big curly hair better then Kellz tho. That definitely should be her signature look. Brandy on the other hand just needs to be herself not try to imitate someone else. I like Brandy’s outfit tho minus the earrings and shoes. A stilletto heel would have been better.

I am in a lovely place right now cuz that association time is for the birds when the wrong assumptions are tossed. I did like her outfit but I don’t think she got advice before she left the house on them shoes. Any other color would have done great with her outfit…… Why those? (brown,chocolate) any other shoes including gym shoes lol
