With the release of her ‘Why Hello Mixtape’ and the positive response it’s garnered, it’s safe to say Misha B is finally on her way, following her time on X Factor 2011.

So, in a bid to promote this project and boost momentum for its follow up, the starlet recently embarked on a UK based school’s tour, taking her live show direct to her younger audience.

More so than any other contemporary act, Misha B‘s ability to ‘preach’ without being preachy is a skill we hope her team capitalize on.

This is why we hope her debut LP is more Lauryn Hill than Rihanna, boasting Top 40 appeal and a clear cut contextual message.

While this won’t be easy- unless she decides to take the dance route- it will add further weight to her cause if she decides to take the project Stateside, if armed with cuts akin to Emeli Sande‘s ‘My Kind Of Love’ or Vanessa Carlton‘s ‘A Thousand Miles’.

Songs strong enough to sell her album even if they don’t find themselves reaching #1.
