Despite meeting a royal backlash from her commercial with Burger King, Queen of Hip Hop Soul Mary J. Blige still presses forward with a visual for the parent song to the crispy chicken jingle that landed her under fire.
While many-a-fan may still be bumping the fresh beat of the “crispy chicken, fresh lettuce” song, we at That Grape Juice can say we prefer the taste of it in its original form.
Originally under wraps (all pun intended), the visual for ‘Don’t Mind’ has now surfaced. Lifted from her most recent “My Life II: The Journey Continues”, get your first taste after the jump:
If this will help erase public memory of the Burger King shamble is questionable. However, despite some of us (myself included) still singing “crispy chicken, fresh lettuce” while this song plays, it doesn’t take away that the song is hot. While visually leaving a bit to be desired, the song itself is arguably one of Mary’s better up-tempos over the last couple of years.
Unfortunately, it may take awhile for all of the damage to be undone. But, it’s a start right?

That’s my favorite song off of her latest album. I don’t know why they wouldn’t release it because it has a good radio sound to it for the summer in my opinion.

She forever ruined this song for me, but I’m glad she’s finally doing the good songs off of that album. I’m still waiting on “Love a Woman” though

I like the song but that video was kinda wack. There were few sonogs
that I like from New Life. Ipaid a $1.29 for two ofher songs on ILtunes.
I am not going to waste money on a whole album when is not good.
