As earlier reported, Beyonce was honored for her literary contributions by the New York Association of Black Journalists this week.
The mini-industry earned first place in the Arts & Entertainment category at the NYABJ Awards for an insightful article she penned for Essence magazine‘s July 2011 issue, in which she detailed how a 9-month hiatus from the industry “renwed her soul”.

One of the comments i read on the original post “Beyonce was put on earth to make [people like u feel shitty about your lives] ” and i couldnt agree more. I know the stans r gonna hate me for this but, how is it that Bey wrote those “wonderful” body of work when she is known in the industry as not being the smartest person to speak? She was even said by that famous archeologist in Egypt that gives tours of the king tut tombs that she is very stupid and knew absolutely nothing about. As soon as I read she won this award I was immediately skeptical. I like Bey but she gets a huge amount of credit for work she doesnt actually do.
