Must Hear: Alexandra Burke – ‘What Money Can’t Buy’

Published: Monday 11th Jun 2012 by Sam

Much ado has been made about Alexandra Burke‘s foray into the world of Dance-Pop, yet one thing that isn’t up for debate is the immense amount of talent embedded in the 23 year old.

It’s a wealth of talent showcased in all its premium glory on ‘What Money Can’t Buy’ – the sole ballad on her hot new album ‘Heartbreak On Hold’.

Penned by Burke at just 18 years old, the cut’s piercing lyrics and potent vocals make for a compelling listen.

Take a listen after the jump…

Quite literally amazing.

Why dont you make a comment about AB flopping with her album and single? This site is SO bias it’s insane!

I’ll answer that for you. No, Alex’s album hasn’t done very well, but the fact that radio stations (all the majors – capital, radio 1 & kiss) refuse to play her songs or acknowledge that she has a single released let alone an album I’m not surprised.
Anyway, when the U.K loses this voice to the U.S due to the hate we will have even less real singers than we have now. Alex, if you read this, get your mothers blessing, pack your bags and tell RCA to send you stateside.

She is missing the “IT” factor. Yes, she can sing and has vocal technique but there is no soul or passion in her voice. On top of that she and her team are trying too hard to fit in with what is on the radio that they made this album composed of bland euro dance music with this being the only slow song on the whole album. Since she is young she has time to find her own sound because it takes style to make it in the US. Also, she should chill with those tired weaves and lace fronts. Her forehead already recedes and she is young…she should look what happened to Naomi Cambell’s hair.

Guys I love AB to bits but even I’m finding this whole a***-licking thing a bit annoying now; stop posting about her every five minutes.

Please don’t tell me you’re ignoring the fact that her album flopped and flopped hard. Off to join the Joe’s, Shayne’s, Leon’s, Matt’s and Steve’s of the UK post X Factor scene.
