Nicole Scherzinger : “I Wasn’t Fired From X Factor USA”

Published: Tuesday 19th Jun 2012 by David

X Factor UK fans saw the show welcome ‘Poison’ sensation Nicole Scherzinger to the show, as Kelly Rowland‘s replacement.

Landing the job after parting ways with the show’s US leg, the singer is now claiming she was never fired from the series, despite what was reported in the media.

Full story below…

Speaking to The Metro, she claimed:

I was only ever going to do one season. I didn’t get the boot, that’s why Simon brought me here. He is very supportive and I love The X Factor.

Hmm.

Here’s why we don’t buy her story.

If Cowell had always planned to send Nicole back to the UK, which of the last year’s judges was he planning her to cut to make room for her.

After all, Rowland’s departure was just as unexpected to fans as it was to producers who were forced to pay a number of ‘stand in judges’ to fill the fourth seat during the audition stages.

So, if what she’s saying is true, why would SYCO waste time with the likes of Rita Ora when- according to her- she was always going to judge on the show.

Either way, with talent like Nicole’s we can’t wait to see how she fares as a mentor this time around, and enjoys her stay in the UK- which remains one of her highest selling markets.

Being delusional and a flop is not a good look.

i believe her, i always thought that they wanted kelly off the show, made the whole thing up about both being fired, then gave kelly’s spot to nicole….sad, but yeah ppl are shady af….

    • O_O June 19, 2012

      Pretty much.

Kelly was always a last minute stand in. Always thought she was only there because Cheryl didn’t follow the plan an take her seat back after the firing. Simon never wanted Kelly to be popular and I think there was an element of sabotage last year so he wouldn’t have to keep her. Pity Kelly was to gullible to make a see through it, make a go of it and make herself indispensable.

What sense are you making why didn’t he put her in the UK in the first place?? Both season started around the same time. Why would he waste his time with kelly?? She was dropped cause her name ain’t big enough her and ain’t no one watching it, so they at risk of getting canceled . She just saying that because it would look bad for her to tell the truth now and she doesn’t want to be fired again!

Why even address the matter. You are so right! why waste money on looking for possible replacements when she could have just stepped in immediately??? nothing was planned Nicole, please stop thinking the public are stupid. After everything they did they could not find a replacement and you took the deal because the you don’t have much else going on. Let’s hope Ms. Kelly succeeds at her 4th studio album (Love the barcardi commercial/song) and that you WOW audiences in the UK. Period!

you can’t tell me that intro vid on xFactor wasn’t amazing.

Nicole helped piece together One Direction and will continue serving talent to the world. F*** the US her base is in EU/Asia/S.America.

I hope she uses this promo to help boost her second album. She had a #1 single from her FIRST SOLO album, that’s hardly a flop, with i’m sure a few top 10 or 40 additional singles.

If she does a Kelly Rowland and not strike while the iron’s hot then imma be over it.

Delusional, liar and a FLOP. What a mix. This woman may be beautiful on the outside but she is as ugly as hell on the inside. This FLOP b**** should stop spreading lies, the FACT is she was fired after Simon Cowell failed to garner the 20 million viewers he was aiming for. This is what opted Simon to sign Britney Spears for $15 Million USD and rush to the Walmart discount bin for Demi what’s-her-name.

Kelly Rowland was also equally fired to make room for Dannii Minogue who demanded 1.5 Million pounds which the show didn’t have because they gave Gary Barlow 3 Million pounds. Their budget was 1 Million pounds max for a fourth judge. Kelly and Dannii demanded more than that and what happened was Kelly was fired whilst Dannii was left to walk. This FLOP b**** signed for 750,000 pounds, a cheap offer.

Please don’t lie you delusional FLOP. You’re not speaking to a dumb public.

      L M F A O

@ Wal Mart discount bin for Demi what’s her name! ! !

AAHAHHAA. You have strong points. It does seem like she was let go, when she made what 1 mill for her first season, and her replacement gets near the same (Demi) or if you consider Britney her replacement, will get 15 times what she got paid for her 1st season.

Sometimes the TRUTH HURTS, face it Nicole Shitsinger!

I don’t think she saying he ALWAYS planned to send her to the UK show. I think she meant she was only contracted to do one season of the US show and when her contract was up Simon decided to send her to the UK show because he likes her as a judge and he supports her. Sounds like what she meant TGJ is just taking the wrong way as usual!! 🙁

    • Music June 19, 2012

I Agree with your comment. I don’t understand how TGJ came up with their conclusion of what she meant.

I believe her, she never said he ALWAYS planned to send her back to the UK. She basically said, her one year contract was up, an opening came available in the UK and Simon asked her to join the show over there.

How hard is that to understand?…Get it together TGJ.

  8. Viciousss June 19, 2012

    I believe her.

There’s a lot of shady behind the scenes stuff that happens with Simon and he can blow your head up like you were number 1 while he’s sneaking someone in right behind you to take your place.

Sadly, I always had a feeling Kelly was just the best possible 2nd or 3rd choice.

Face it…Cowell has his type and Kelly wasn’t it.

  9. number1k9 June 20, 2012

    She technically was not fired.

She had a contract, with options. Just like artists have with recording contracts. normally a 1 album deal with X amount of options. If your album tanks they company does not have to pick up the additional/possible options. So she likely had a 1 year deal with X Factor with options if she did well or the show overall did well. Obv. it tanked! And her option wasn’t picked up!

So she wasn’t fired, but essentially she was. Same thing happened, she lost her position. So whichever way you look at it. She lost her position. We normally do call that being fired.

  10. im not throwing shade, but… June 20, 2012

I’m kinda hearing TGJ point. There was a big break in-between the US series ending and the auditions for the UK shows, so why was there stand in judges? She had enough time to have a break and then come back for the start of the auditions, i mean, it’s not like she couldn’t put her hobby on hold. Also, up until the other day they were courting Danni to come back but she refused. Just be a grateful 3rd best and get on with it Nicole.
ANYWAY, AM I THE ONLY ONE EHO ENJOYED SEEING A BLACK JUDGE, AND WAS HOPING TO SEE ONE AGAIN THIS YEAR? I THINK THEY COULD’VE ASKED JAMILIA… EVEN TO STAND IN FOR THE AUDITIONS, ESPECIALLY INSTEAD OF GERI HALLIWELL.

  11. XYZ June 20, 2012

TRUTH BE TOLD…Kelly Rowland STARTED as the most popular judge on last season of the X-Factor, but by the time the LIVE shows rolled around, public opinion completed shifted and she became very, very unpopular because the majority of people saw her personality as quite false. Her behaviour also became very annoying, what with all her ill-placed “Y’ALL!!”‘s and “BOO”‘s. It got tedious very quickly. And then there was the whole Misha Bully gate. Messy business.

I think Nicole WILL be more popular and well-liked than Kelly. I remember after her stint on UK X-Factor a couple seasons ago, a lot of people wanted her onboard as a permanant judge. She is also (arguably) a better singer than Rowland.

    • Truth tela June 24, 2012

@Xyz, Kelly didn’t do anything wrong on xfactor uk. The Misha bullygate? What did Kelly do wrong about the bullygate? She supported her act who was bullied by Tulisa and Loius on live TV. Was Kelly supposed to side with Tulisa when there is no evidence that Misha bullied anyone? All contestants denied being bullied by Misha, so Tulisa was in the wrong, not Kelly. The British public/ media turned against Kelly after she stood by Misha because they didn’t want their own British girl Tulisa to appear as bad, simple! Xfactoer is never good for very dark skinned judges anyway. Why are you saying Nicole is better than Kelly? In your dream! Kelly is brilliant. Anyway, @xyz you appear to follow all kelly Rowland articles and write your negative comments about her. I personally think you are related to Tulisa because she is one person who hates Kelly. It shows that Kelly is good because you hate her so much.
