countries like the Philippines, brazil and so forth, are not huge countries, so it doesnt take that much to go gold if ur a huge star..

GOLD certification is 500k in US because the volume of albums being sold are high. This means that there are more people buying records. Philippines doesn’t have the US market! If going GOLD in Philipines were that easy, they would have changed their rules.
