Like idol Whitney Houston, fans of ‘Love All Over Me’ maestra Monica have long known of her love for gospel music.
Consistently citing the genre as one of her personal favorites, it’s no shock that the singer joined forces months ago with gospel powerhouses James Fortune and Fred Hammond for the electric single ‘Hold On’ from the former’s most recent studio release.
Now to the fortune of listeners, the hold for the single’s accompanying video is shortening as snaps from the set have surfaced online. See the three in action and take a listen below (thanks to our friends at GospelPundit):
The snaps surface days after Mo brought down the Los Angeles’ Shrine Auditorium with her rendition of Whitney Houston gospel favorite ‘I Love the Lord’. If you missed it, click here.
I bought James Fortunes album because of “hold on”…Monica and Fred killed! Monica indeed slayed “I love the Lord ” for the Whitney Tribute! Monica’s voice is amazing, but even more when she sings Gospel…Monica can SANG!
Well im sure because her r&b music was yatol trash! But no hate cuz she can sing and stay in one range, and she still sounds the same whn she 1st came out!
She needs to make money some way.
Wasnt she suppos to go back to school anyway??
Face it r&b is fading so fast kinda like monica last album.
How bout that!
Love Monica.
love this record bought the single already
James Fortune committed severe.child abuse to his stepson. He forced the.child into boiling hot water which left his body with 2nd and 3rd degree burns. I refuse to support anything he does.
