Nicki Minaj cannot dance or sing so why she felt the need to do either onstage last night is beyond me. The only must see performances of the night in my opinion are the Whitney Houston tribute and Melanie Fiona…everything else left a lot to be desired.

Wow didn´t know Mariah was going to be there. The Whitney tribute stole the show, they did their thing and Whitney slay nowadays singers so she was obviously going to stole a show full of nowadays singers. U know what I mean. And despite these girls doing such a great job with the tribute u can easily see how huge and ipec Whitney´s voice was, nobody stand a chance

My favorite performers were Melanie and Brandy. I also enjoyed Nicki and Chris, they weren’t bad at all, although I’m a little gutted that Chris didn’t perform one of his r ‘n’ b tracks. Too bad Ciara wasn’t there. She would have killed it! Can she at least release a video, something to signal that the new era has finally begun?!

To be honest…..Melanie Fiona Killed it! I was over the awards after she performed. She had the most power performance, & it was very believable & straight from the heart with raw emotion. She went INN! Monica killed it as well….but that was just about it for me. ***BRANDY GOT THICK AS HELL NOW***

I see Usher is still King! These other male singers could never! The Whitney Tribute was good! Definitely impressed by Brandy! She sounded good! Reminded me of Whitney! I actually enjoyed Nicki’s performance. Kanye and his crew did good! But the best performance of the nite came from that girl Melanie Fiona! She did that! Vocals were there! Raw emotions poured out of her soul and slayed the stage! This woman is a Stage Slayer n the making!

She pretty much gives a perfect vocal everytime I hear her. I’ve even heard her sing arabic and egyptian scales. Which is not easy.

Beyonce does have a nice voice but it is not always perfect. Since you study music you would know that there are certain parts in “Love On Top” the studio version, where she sings the wrong notes. She easily plays it off and makes it sound good but her voice isn’t perfect.

I disagree. Beyonce’s performances on past BET awards have been great. She opened the show twice and both times she was the best performer of the night. Shs is definitely an entertainer and you do not have to have a big voice to perform (look at Nicki Minaj, Chris Brown, etc). Stage presence goes a long way and Beyonce owns the stage when she is performing. Also, what would Beyonce perform? She does not have a new single out and the tribute to Whitney and Frank Beverly / Maze was already full at 25 minutes each.

Mariah Carey grace the stage with the surprised appearance really captivating and amazing beautiful. Honoring her good fren Whitney which make an eye opener to everybody that they are really a one of the hell good fren in discreet. She honor her with charisma, sincerity, joy, sadness and happiness. Great to see D’angelo back doing his thing again.
The Frankie Beverly and Maze tribute was good, and great to see TGT lend a vocal helping hand!
Faith Evans was really good.
