Published: Thursday 12th Jul 2012 by David

After weeks of anticipation, today saw No Doubt release a snippet of their forthcoming single ‘Settle Down‘.

Upbeat and featuring Gwen Stefani‘s oh so missed vocals, this preview definitely falls into the category of ‘Must Hear‘.

    Pretty Young Thing

    If an untalented poptart like Rihanna can score #1 songs after another…Settle Down will indeed be a big hit for No Doubt. You must be a brainwashed, delusional teenager.

    Sounds like it could be a hit. And it is hard to get one after many years without releasing material and knowing the generic mess we live in right now and the age issue. So good for them if they bring both: quality and commercial appeal for the most recent retarded generation

    @christinastherealtalent

    I see you want to bring in Rihanna huh??

    If that’s the case why did Loud Era completely wiped it’s ass with Bionic??? OH OK.

    Why did TTT took a s*** and then some on 4?

      there’s simply no accounting for taste.

      popular does NOT equal good.

      the rihannas and katy perrys of the world prove that.

      the best music being made isn’t easily digestible pop tripe and most of it you won’t find on your local radio.

        @ dustin
        I couldn’t agree with you more!

      Both of you b****** sound bitter.

      BOOP.

      • dustin July 12, 2012

        nope, not bitter.

        my taste is just a little more high brow.

        lyrics like, “cake cake cake cake…” just don’t move me…

        … wonder why?

        OMG how lame.

        I dont understand people who act like there musical taste is so high and above “Pop” or whatever….like STFU.

        Me personally enjoy all kinds of music and there’s room for it all. Rihanna is a versatile artist and her music runs deeper than just “cake, cake cake” she can have catchy, upbeat, fun ass music…who doesnt enjoy that every now and then? but the women also has VERY meaningful records and great tunes to vibe too. She’s so versatile and amazing. Rihanna got artist like Coldplay, Prince, & George Michael covering her music, with cosigns from even Sade and Michael Jackson loving her tunes.

        Some people try and act all sophisticated with there music preference…Like, whatever be REAL. f*** all that, you know you got Rihanna on your iPod. Kill that.

      What planet are you living on? TTT s*** and then some on 4? I’m not a big of a beyonce fan but the last time I checked TTT has barely sold 900k in the US….4 has sold over 1 million in the US alone without the backing of a real hit single much less lack of promotion. 4 debuted at #1 selling over 300k in the us, something which your fave as yet to accomplish. So remind me how ttt shits and then some on 4?

  6. IOTA July 12, 2012

    I’ve been waiting forever for this album

  7. Lulu July 12, 2012

    is that pic recent..they could have switched up their look a tad bit

  8. xxx July 12, 2012

    dont know if the single will be a hit, even though it sounds hot – but it’s not bout partying, drinking till you throw up and f****** without condoms…so it won’t do well on the singles front

    but i bet the album will be a big seller (for these days) – no doubt has a lot of loyal fans and is always consistent with albums quality wise

    Welcome back gwen

    @wilddebutante

    i’ll cosign that my comment may have come off a little smug (though not untrue). i like some s*** that isn’t exactly highbrow. however, i find VERY little artistic merit to anything rihanna does (not to mention she can barely sing live and doesn’t write her own s*** unlike some other pop acts). you can list off all the endorsements in the world. it still won’t change my opinion. i am familiar with rihannas catalog. i own rated-r (her best album imho).

    i don’t have rihanna on my ipod and my musical taste is not on trial here. my main point still wasn’t addressed though. popularity does NOT speak to quality and the last couple rihanna albums have been hot caca.

    anyway… solo gwen and the last no doubt album were kind of a turn off for me so im not super excited, but when we get a full leak i’ll give it a listen.
