Naturally No Doubt‘s comeback, after an almost ten year hiatus, is very much an “event”. Hence, it’s only expected that they’d hit one of the biggest AM slots, Good Morning America, in the run up to the release of their ‘Push & Shove’ LP (due September 25th).
Taking to the Summer Concert Series stage, the Pop quad served up a bevy of their biggest hits including ‘Underneath It All’, ‘It’s My Life’, and latest smash ‘Settle Down’.
Watch Gwen and co in action below…
It’s My Life
Underneath It All
Settle Down
The criminal omission of ‘Don’t Speak’ aside, solid performances all round. We do hope the album serves up better than ‘Settle Down’, though. Because, between its solid verses, bizarre chorus, and all-round 3-songs-in-one feel, it’s not giving us what we need. At all.

BITCH, NO!!!
I know this site is an “Urban Blog” but, my goodness, the level of musical understanding and comprehension is ATROCIOUS. I guess this site really isn’t a fan of the POWERHOUSE GENRES that ARE POST-GRUNGE/ALTERNATIVE-METAL/PUNK-POP and ROCK MUSIC as a whole if we really have to question ‘Settle Down’s composition structure. SAM, MOST GRUNGE SONGS ARE WRITTEN LIKE THAT, THEN AGAIN, MOST ROCK SONGS USUALLY HAVE A FULL-THROTTLE CHORUS AND STEADY VERSES. UGH. HELLO???????
I ADORE urban music but please – THIS SITE REALLY NEEDS TO BROADEN IT’S MUSICAL KNOWLEDGE. IT’S JUST THE SAME OLD TIRED HATING SHIT YOU DO WITH RIHANNA, THE CONTINUOUS ACCLAIM YOU POUR OUT FOR BEYONCE, THE PERSISTENT ARTICLES ON GIRL GROUPS AND THE OBSESSION WITH SALES AND ALBUM COMMERCIAL PERFORMANCES. GET A NEW FUCKING EDITOR OR BLOG SUPERVISOR. PLEASE. ONE THAT CAN ACTUALLY MAKE THIS SITE MORE SUBSTANTIAL, MUSICALLY AND JOURNALISTICALLY. SHIT!!!

I love NxD dont get it twisted. But. Im sorry its been years. They have been talking about this album since 2008. The hype is gone. The casual fans have moved on. People got tired of 4 years of “heyy we are in the studio the album will be out in a few months”
