And “wait” Brandy fans have for the hotly anticipated video for her comeback single ‘Put It Down’.
After serving up a titillating teaser, the Vocal Bible has finally announced when the masses can expect the Hype Williams helmed visual.
The Lipton awaits after the jump…
Writing on her official Tumblr tonight, the 32 year old confirmed that the Chris Brown assisted clip will receive its world premiere next Tuesday (August 14th) on BET’s 106 & Park – which she’ll be co-hosting on that day. Its VEVO debut will follow moments after, while Entertainment Tonight‘s ‘The Insider’ will air an exclusive behind the scenes look at the video later that night.

Granted the clip was due at least 3 months ago, it’s awesome to see things coming together so amazingly now. Having done “this” for the last five years, we’ve seen many projects come and go, with the key component to those that are successful being the all-important “setup”. Hence, with the song finally taking off (in a big way) on Urban radio, what better time than the present to roll out its video for maximum impact? What’s more, it’s clear -judging by the “attack all bases” activation for the visual – that Ms. Norwood’s team are not playing. At all.
Needless to say, we can’t wait to see B-Rocka ‘Put It Down’ in a major way next Tuesday. In the meanwhile, we’ll hit (re)play on that teaser one more time…

The vocal bible title came from the Full moon Album, Alot of artists took inspiration from that album including chris brown, tyrese, keisha cole, omarion etc. her ad-libs and harmonies are her signatuture sound. A famous band called Red hot chilli pepper said one of their album was inspired by her multi-track harmonies and imitated the sound with guitars. I agree that she is not a whitney but she is very versatile with it..

Im not even being rude BUT people, I think i speak for most people when I say im passed caring. How can your song come out before keyshia cole and still not have a video out. Brandy you clearly need better management. And if your management is going to handle an album like they did this single I can only wonder how well it will do. Keyshia cole dropped a snippet, 2 days later whole song, then a fortnight later a full video. Thats how its done. I like brandy but this promo this terrible esp for an average song.

I so agree. Yes while many were excited for Brandy the time is quickly passing. And lets be clear Keyshia Cole song has only been on the chart for 4 weeks and is already #14. Brandy song has been out 9 weeks and is #30. Keyshia always has the support of the urban market! And its not that we don’t want Brandy to do well. She just needs to have a better marketing strategy, thats all!
