Petite powerhouse JoJo sent the net aflutter last month with the debut of her sizzling new single ‘Demonstrate’.

That Grape Juice caught up with the songstress on the Beverly Hills set of the song’s video, which is poised to mirror the cut’s “grown and sexy” aura.

Watch as she dishes on the clip’s concept, forthcoming album, industry hardships, and the new sound she anticipates will be her ultimate redemption.

I am so excited for this video! And at the same time I’m hoping JoJo finds a way to leave Blackground for good. They’re a hot burning mess. First, Timbaland’s ever-growing collection of flop “buzz” singles, then JoJo’s double-scrapped third album and now that Aaliyah situation… She needs a label that can support her, because with that amount of talent and with the quality of her music, she should be soaring on the charts right now. Anyway…I wish her the best.

Thank you! She needs to leave that label. Everyone gets on HER case for not releasing new stuff and they don’t realise that Blackground holds all the cards, they’re the ones constantly pushing dates back and they lack the ability to properly promote their artists’ material. I’m really hoping that this album gets released and/or she releases the music she recorded for Jumping Trains in a mixtape or something. I know that’s not where she’s at anymore, but I would love to hear some of those songs to see where she WAS at. JoJo is under appreciated as well as underrated. She deserves as much success as half of the singers in the industry, if not more so. She’s talented and I wish her label could see that.

Agreed 100%. She really does need to leave that label

OMG that was a waste of time. she was just rambling on and on. just make the good music and videos. i mean dam if u gonna do a interview do it. not this half ass s*** of you rambling on and on.
    still love u tho lol.

You are pure and unadulterated ignorance. You lack the intelligence to understand an artist explain to you the concept of their video and how it ties into the song. All you could think was “duhh I don’t get it, she used too many big words”. That was not “rambling”. They asked her questions and she answered them. That is an interview. She’s very articulate and intelligent for a 21 year old. What are you, like 15? Hasn’t school started for you?

      • Marcos O’liva August 15, 2012

how rude of you. i get the concept of the video and what she was trying to explane. but lets be real. alot of that video was her rambling. i like jojo. just not her rambling.

Ready to see the visual for this song……Leggo JOJO!!!

I can’t wait for the video. Just so that she can have one to promote the track. Music videos these days don’t enthuse me. The only problem i have with demonstrate is that it’s too short for me, i’m always left wanting more when it’s over. but i hope she can find happiness in her new direction.

    HASBEEN!!!!!!!!!

She seems a lot like she used to be, mature and well articulated. I’ve always liked her and hope the best for her career being on that record label.

I’ve been a fan since the beginning and have been rooting for her throughout her label struggles.
This girl is one of the greatest talents of our generation and it saddens me to see the recognition that less talented/manufactured acts (to say the least) get when educated, talented and beautiful young artists such as JoJo are forced to take the back seat and hope for a portion of that same mainstream success undeservingly awarded to the likes of Nicki Minaj among others.
She deserves to be in the spotlight like she was as a teenager, if not more so. Her music is better than most radio hits today and she’s one of the few artists out there who has absolutely no need for her voice to be tampered with – something which is becoming increasingly rare in today’s music industry.
I can only hope that she gets the break she wants and that the industry so desperately needs soon – someone’s gotta bring REALNESS back into this dying industry and JoJo is one of the few who, given the opportunity, could do so.
    Now make it happen girl.
