* sighs* If only this talented sister was a blonde eastern european rihanna clone……who konws how big she would of been by now.
She did good, considering she has NO PROMO and was not pushed down out throats .
BTW, where is Frank ocean LP? It did not go number 1 and now it is not in the top 10. Strange!

People are way too caught up in first week sales, some albums perform over the long run. Look at Miquel for instance, had a poor first week then his album grew legs and did in the 300-400k mark.

That Adele reign will not let up. Shit, ’21′ will probably STILL be on the charts well into 2013.

Im FURIOUS with her label!! This is easily the best R&B CD to be released in the last 12 months by a U.S soul singer yet she has not been promoted very much.
She has at least 3 hits on that album…..I’m really loving the I DONT CARE track. Her music is crossover too just like Alicia Keys….
they should have worked Only wanna give it to you on pop radio. I hope they do that in the UK and Europe if they decide to promote her over there.
She has a unique voice just like Winehouse had and should have also been marketed in the UK. She still hasnt been promoted well in the U.S. ……..
RCA really does suck …. Theyre gonna screw up Brandy’s promo campaign too. …. I’m glad Ciara left them for Epic.

RCA ain’t been right since Barry Weiss left…Barry’s Island Def Jam artists have opened well (2 Chainz, Bieber, Frank Ocean…GOOD Music coming next)…RCA needs to hang it up or fire all their promo peeps…they’ve seriously wrecked so many promising albums with crappy promo campaigns and lack of planning for single releases…Sigh….Good Luck Miguel (he’s on RCA)…

this is actually a good look…with the exception of maybe a dozen artist, album sales are dooooown…Waka and FloRida (as popular and successful as he is) also sold about 30-40k in their first week

i hope she continues promoting this album…the good thing about elle varner’s type of music is once you gain fans, you never have to worry about losing them…btw is call me maybe still no.1?i have never bothered to go check their weekly updates 4 a while.

These are good numbers for a new r&b artist with NO crossover exposure. Usher had a #1 r&b song and a song in the top 15 of the Hot 100, and he only opened with about 128k.

I enjoyed Elle’s CD. These #s are actually good considering the little promo it received and no real pop presence for Elle. Refill should have hit #1 on the r&b charts.

Congrats Elle love ya. The cd is pretty good it’s diffrent it’s a grower but I still know its a great cd. And yes 21 still there… Well 2 b honest IMO when your white ( not being racist ) or British whatever and have at least a little soul and ain’t doIng pop u get WAAAYYYY more attention but that DOES NOT take away from Adeles gift of voice she is a great singer her music is more popish than soul 2 ME I guess cause I grew up with mjb Monica etc u know but congrats Elle

Her CD is fire esp that Leaf song which has to be my favorite…..I have been telling everyone about this cd……I agree she needs more exposure to the public but at the same time you dont want to over do it b/c then we will get sick of seeing her before she has a chance to really blossom
