As one of the world’s more commercially potent acts, One Direction has amassed somewhat of a religious following since their launch last year.
So, in a bid to win over the said following, Pop sweetheart Rita Ora has covered their hit single ‘What Makes You Beautiful‘ today, during a session with BBC’s Radio One Live Lounge.
Hear her soar below…

Exactly. Rita’s just seven years too late (aka Rihanna’s career) to be doing this. We already have one Rih, we already have one Bey. _/ _/_/ <— Rita, pick one…permanently.

How is she focusing on others music?? Musicians go on BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge and are expected to sing a cover plus their own material. Anyhow, the cover wasn’t good. So no, not typical Rita, more like typical brain dead Onika. That’s enough now Onika, please focus

First of all, “Enough Onika” clearly stands for my disliking of her so the “shade” thrown at Onika is agreed upon lol. Second, Rita should’t be doing ANY media coverage that requires her to cover or discuss any other artists anymore. She has marketed herself into a whole with the constant comparisons and using every interview that could’ve been focused on introducing herself and what she’s about, but instead she chose to discussed why Jay-Z was meant to be a star or how her and Rihanna are friends. Ok??? Why the f*ck are YOU here? She’s not a looker, so standing out in that department’s gone. All she HAD was a potential brand that focused on something that wasn’t generic (aka party crap) and was different, but as we can see with “Party and Shittin’ My Pants,” she blow that as well.

That is good. Like Plan B, jessie J, Tulisa, Ndubz etc she is a UK star. There is nothing wrong with only being known in British markets. In terms of being one of the most famous women alive?> NEVER

Have you never heard of BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge?? I guess not, so I’ll explain it to you. BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge gets musicians do sing a cover of someone else’s song. So she did just that, she sang a cover. AND she sung her own material. I swear, some people are dumb as f…….. Rita Ora going on BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge is promoting herself.

If that’s what it’s about, then SHE should not be apart of it. Know one in the US knows any damn song by Rita. She needs to find venues that focus on herself and promoting HER music.

She is walking around with Hermes birkin bags like she is world class diva. This proves she does not believe she is a superstar, hence why she has to hide behind Birkin bags. Like, being drape in all this high fashion to prove you are a star is a sign of weakness. Rihanna and Beyonce were stars even in converse and home made clothing. She can carry Birkin bags, wear Roberto Cavalli gowns and sky high louboutins, with Rolex watches and carties bangles……..SHE STILL WILL NEVER BE A SUPERSTAR.

I agree! Rita has a strong, clear voice. These fools in the US just cling to Rihonald McFenty because the media keeps proping her up as a fake lying victim.
All they need to do is compare Rita’s vocal range and ability to RihNOT and they will discover the truth.

She needs to add more personnality in her voice. She has everything on point but she’s missing a lil’ something-something, and it’s getting frustrating!
There’s a missing link that could get her somewhere between Gwen Stefani, Pink and Katy Perry. I doubt RocNation will help her find that out since they ain’t doin’ nothing with J. Cole and Melanie Fiona.
And I almost forgot, “Rita, DUMP ROB”.
