He’s the man behind Lady GaGa‘s explosive sound, but today saw world renown producer Red One take a giant leap into the world of Hip Hop.
For, after producing the UK smash ‘Pound The Alarm‘ for their leading lady Nicki Minaj, the producer has partnered with the Cash Money music group for an initiative to launch new artists.

On the partnership, Red – born Nadir Khayat- explained:

For, with Baby and Slim proving their know how by way of Drake, Wayne and the aforementioned Minaj, we hope they use this deal to launch a new generation of urban acts with just as much mainstream appeal.

RedOne is NOT responsible for Gaga’s “explosive sound”, he only featured on a couple of tracks on Born This Way. He did Just Dance with her which is easily the weakest of her singles (I said the weakest not the worst selling before someone jumps in there). In any event, she writes the melodies herself – he just co-produces occasional songs with her. I’d like to see her ditch him completely for her new album next year as his sound is overused and too generic-sounding now.
