The kardashians new Rob was a loser and tried to get him his own SPIN-OFF show with Rihanna but she declined, so Jay-z offered up Rita instead and they met up. No one has offered them a show yet because this is the U.S., and we do not like Rita.

Her and Rob were friends before people knew about him and Rita though so it’s not even a big deal tbh. And with the amount of records that RiRi has made/broken herself, I doubt she’s pressed about what Rita’s doing. They’re both good artists in their own right imo. I prefer RiRi’s material, but there’s absolutely no denying that Rita can slay vocally. Having seen them live though, they both defo need to step up performance wise.

According to reports by the New York Times and a document obtained by WikiLeaks, several pop stars including Mariah Carey, Beyoncé, Usher and Lionel Richie have taken lucrative gigs performing for the members of Libyan dictator Muammar al-Qaddafi’s family.
Yesterday the Times reported that Qaddafi’s son Muatassim, Libya’s national security adviser, had hired Beyoncé and Usher to entertain at his New Year’s Eve party in St. Barts. Another Qaddafi son, Seif al-Islam el-Qaddafi, reportedly paid Carey $1 million to sing four songs at the previous year’s New Year’s party, also in St. Barts.
These sort of secret private events featuring big-time pop stars are not unusual, but in this case the artists in question are being criticized for accepting money from a violent and oppressive regime. In legal terms, there is no problem here — the United States welcomed the Qaddafi regime during the Bush administration as an ally in the war on terrorism, leaving the door open for such dealings.
The ethics of the performances are murkier. It could be argued that by performing for the Qaddafi family and taking their money amounts to a de facto acceptance of their politics and actions – though it’s probably a stretch to call them complicit.

On February 28th, Canadian pop star Nelly Furtado used her Twitter account to reveal she had performed a 45 minute set for the Gaddafi clan in an Italian hotel. She received $1 million for the gig, but says she now intends to give that entire fee to charity.

The American singer was one of the headline acts at a 2009 New Year festival on the Caribbean island of St Bart’s organised by Gaddafi’s son Hannibal, and she is believed to have received as much as $2 million for the show. The Gaddafi’s New Year festival in St Bart’s must have been the stuff of legend. After his performance became public knowledge, Usher revealed the money he received had been donated to Amnesty International.
Fiddy is another star to have joined what one media outlet referred to as ‘The Gaddafi Performance Regret Club’, having given the dictator’s family a private performance in Venice in 2005. The rapper has since donated to UNICEF.
It’s not just young pop stars hanging around with the Gaddafis – even old hands like Lionel Richie have bolstered their income with performances for the despot. Along with Spanish opera stars Jose Carreras and Ofelia Sala, the veteran crooner sang for unknown fee at a 2006 20th anniversary event to commemorate a U.S. bombing raid on the Libyan leader’s home, which killed Gaddafi’s adopted daughter.
In reponse to the criticism he received, Richie said he understood that his performance was controversial, but was convinced that his music would help diplomacy between Libya and the west. According to sources, the star said he could ‘almost guarantee’ that his songs would bring change to the country. Judging by the situation in Libya at the moment, it’s abundantly clear that his rendition of ‘Three Times A Lady’ didn’t really have as much impact as he might have hoped.
Warbling songstress Mariah Carey also performed at the St Bart’s party, but unlike the other performers she has so far resisted to give her rumoured $1million fee to charity. Instead, she’s promised to donate all proceeds from new single Save The Day to humanitarian charities.

One is that we are all responsible for our actions, our behavior, and our words, and we must take responsibility for everything we say and do.
