With an album due this month and interest at an all-time low, Trey Songz attempts to re-rev his buzz with a snippet of new blasphemous cut ‘Hail Mary’.
Set to feature on ‘Chapter V’ with previous singles ‘Heart Attack’, ‘Simply Amazing’, and ‘2 Reasons’, the track aims for higher chart ground than the aforementioned by enlisting rapper’s Lil Wayne and Young Jeezy.
Rubbish.
At this point, Trey will need to hail Mary, Joseph, and baby Jesus if he’s hoping this album sells. Having delivered approximately nothing of substance this go round, it’s clear by the masses have finally caught on to the limits of his talents. After all, there’s only so much baring one’s chest and incessantly singing about sex will carry an artist. And sadly for Songz, the upper-limit of that this time seems to be the Bubbling Under Chart.

OMG this is trash. Seriously I just cant with this guy, he wont just need a Hail Mary, he’ll need the Pope, the pastor, congregation, Jesus and the Ten disciples to save this despicable showcase of what I hate to call an R&B Album. I guess it’s too late for the record label to pull the plug.
It does seem interest is lower this time around. “Heart Attack” was a top 5 r&b hit however and the horrendous joint with T.I. Called “2 Reason” also made the top 10.
Trey Songz is more than capable of making good R&B music. God only knows why he continues down this dimly-lit path. Chapter V is one I won’t leaf through, if this is all he has to offer.
