Dont worry. She aint doing a Drake collab..She said the album was done about a month ago and she just said she hasnt even recorded the song yet! yea it aint happening this go round…lol

Stand on your own, Brandy. Don’t be another R&B singer who runs to rappers because they’re not confident enough that their record is hot enough to be played on the radio with just them alone. It’s bad enough that Chris Brown is on “Put It Down.”

Oh hush up! I don’t want her to do anything with “Drake-Evelyn” but the Chris collaboration vid & song are quite good! Let Brandy grow a bit my goodness!

  3. Lyo August 23, 2012

Hold up… Drake wrote a song. It doesn’t mean he is going to feature.

    • KNUCK August 24, 2012

Thank you!! The girls stay inventing ish…

When you need a quick hit you go to people like Drake, Rihanna, Katy, Britney, Nicki, Justin B, etc….

Brandy you shouldnt lower your standards to those levels. I love this song though.

jus cuz u collab with an artist doesn’t mean they have to be on the record. she’s collabed with frank ocean too and they haven’t shared a song.

drake wouldn’t be a bad feature…long as he don’t cuss or speak off-topic to the song’s lyrics like he did on aaliyah’s joint.

  7. DOSSOME August 24, 2012

Brandy ain’t joking this time round…She doesn’t need drake or any other rapper out there 2 succeed….what she needs is good promo & thats it…I JUST CAN’T GET ENOUGH OF WILDEST DREAMS!!!

Okay Brandy, so you’re releasing the song next week and the video when? November? People are just getting used to seeing the put it down video and now there’s another song… with no video.
I’m all for Brandy, but things just seem to be done back to front. TV is a big media outlet, and many people put on music channels at home to hear music. You release song to radio and capture people at work and in cars but artists need to get heavy video rotation otherwise they’re missing out. No matter how terrible the Mariah song is (it’s bad) she had that video out and on rotation capitalising on her comeback status. Brandy should take the same route as she’s basically in the same situation.

Yes, I agree with everything you are said but you also have to remember who CONTROLS the MUSIC/MEDIA industry (which includes RADIO, TV,MAGAZINES etc). Mariah Carey has always been treated differently than say Brandy or Monica for several reasons. With MC now on American Idol, she will be given the same positive frequent press coverage given to Jennifer Lopez. J-LO went from being called a “H**” (literally) in the media to making the cover of People Mag as the “Most Beautiful Woman In The World” after getting the American Idol gig. MC’s horrible song and crappy video will be widely published 1) because she is MC and 2) because of her new AI post.

I love me some Brandy and pray she gets a chance to showcase her talents. There are many talented artists out there that don’t get the recognition they deserve! IMO….

Mariah is also in a completely different league from Brandy, and her fanbas is also much wider. Mariah’s song isn’t trash. It’s a good urban single. It’s just something for the fans.

And THAT is how you promote your album when you want to get back on top. JoJo’s horrible label needs to take notes. I cannot believe a song that premiered 3 days ago has the same release date as a song that premiered last month!!

Anyway, back on topic, I wish Brandy luck with this song. ‘Put It Down’ is doing very well and it’s debuted on the Hot 100 as well, so I hope the songs don’t clash with each other so that they can both be successful. 😎

    • MC August 24, 2012

No, JoJo needs to leave that shady ass label and sign with a good record label who will give her the attention and promotion she needs.

  11. dee August 24, 2012

The video will be released January 2013!

    • mob: operation kill the B!+@# August 24, 2012

      LOL 🙂

**But you know you’re wrong for that!! Ha Ha

  12. mob: operation kill the B!+@# August 24, 2012

    Oh my goodness ppl RELAX!

Sean Garrett, Chris Brown, Frank Ocean, and now Drake have all written songs she said she really likes. Some may appear on the CD. She has said that Chris Brown is the only feature on her new CD so I don’t believe “Drake-Evelyn” will be throwing bottles oops… 🙂 I mean making an appearence as an artist on the “Wild Dreams” CD!

The Chris Brown collaboration on “Put It Down” was quite unexpected but IMO opinion quite good! Now with the ad of the visuals (FINALLY) the song is making major moves for her. No, it may not be at the top of the “100 HOT – POP MUSIC CHARTS” but it is making noise within her CHOSEN GENRE OF MUSIC, R&B!

Brandy is a fabulous artists folks. Let her grow and spread her wings a bit. She knows her core audience is looking for “Angel In Disguise” etc. type of songs. I honestly think she will deliver those cuts as well…….RELAX …geez

  13. Tasha August 24, 2012

Flop Wack Bye! Neva! SNL will say who? You Starz! Lol! If she’s all that let her perform at the MTV awards! Rolls eyes and going to take a s***!

  14. JER August 24, 2012

NO NO NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BRANDY NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THAT IS TOO DAMN EARLY!!!!!!!!!!

Last I checked, “Put It Down” moved up to #16 from 22 on the R&B charts, let the damn song breathe since it’s FINALLY picking up pace.

    I CAN’T

I can’t at how long they waited to release the video and FINALLY put some umph in the song, and the moment it rises into the Top 20 on the R&B charts, they ready a new song. I CAN’T.

  15. JazThatBoi August 25, 2012

Calm down!!! Artist release multiple singles at once all the time and it works. Beyonce did it with Single Ladies and If I Were a Boy… I think it would work out for Brandy cuz the songs have 2 different vibes.
