Alicia Keys stripped all the way back recently, taking her rising single ‘Girl On Fire‘ to the ‘New York Times’ for a calmer delivery of the cut.

Explaining it’s premise to the publication, the Grammy winner soared as she performed the number which has thus far peaked at #1 in South Korea, #14 in Switzerland and #5 in the Netherlands.

I’m worried about how her label is handling this era #justsaying

She’s been the UK, her promo is going well. Why are you worried?

I agree but I don’t think she knows how she wants to present herself this era! Will she be the Alicia Keys of old or has too much time and too many things occured for her to recapture that “lightening in a bottle” momentum she once had? I just don’t hear the buzz around her or her music that isn’t kind of forced, media/music industry driven typical promo. I don’t hear anyone saying that they are checking for her like they once were! jmo

I’ve followed AK from day one. She’s always been a lowkey artists like Sade and Celine Dion. Her fan-base isn’t a lot of kids so the buzz around her has never been loud.
