Exclusive: Hit-Boy Talks Working On Beyonce’s New Album

He’s one of the biggest hitmakers on the scene, so it’s only fitting that producer Hit-Boy adopts such an alias. Indeed, the California native has crafted hits for the likes of The Throne (‘N*gga’s In Paris’), Rihanna (‘Watch N’ Learn’), and Kelly Rowland (‘Lay It On Me’).

We caught up with the humble 25 year old at the 2012 BMI Urban Music Awards last week and, ever keen to ask the questions you really want answers to, quizzed him on the mounting speculation surrounding his involvement with Beyonce’s new album.

Check out what he had to say above…

Are you amped for a Hit-Boy / Beyonce collaboration? As ever, let us know below…

  • The same old same old. She has worked with him before, now she is working with Hitboy and kanye again? RNB DOES NOT SELL ANYMORE.

Also, Beyonce is pullinh a RIRI and puting producers in all these studioes to write for 14 hours. Rih’s project will slay her Rih is working with fresh, new talent from all over the world: Nicky Romero, Burns ( dope producer ) David Guetta, Sean Garrett ( sizzling rnb ) Neyo, Sia, Fazer from the UK ( love that) Labrinth ( he is a dark horse ) This sounds more artistically exciting that Beyonce stale RNB, plus, the Rih fans went nuts over an instrumental beat, that is rumored to be her new single. THE BEAT IS SICKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK LIKE VOMIT ON MOULDY MILK. Imagine the finished product.

LOL I checked the billboard hot 200 LP chart LOL LOL LOL LOL RIH TTT is at 64 – beyonce has dropped of the 200, which means, In america, TTT has outsold 4.

PS : Rihanna will make history: SHE WILL BE THE ONLY BLACK SINGER , SECOND BLACK WOMAN, AFTER HALLE TO SHOOT THE COVER OF AMERICAN VOGUE WITH THE BEST PHOTOGRAPHER, ANNIE LEBOVITZ.

      Let’s Talk About Rihanna

Once upon a time, Nivea blessed me with a skybox suite setup to soak in her Wells Fargo tour stop. I took my Rihanna-loving friend and we had a gay ole’ time. She put on quite a show. A half-dozen outfits, an army of backup dancers, colors galore, a conveyor-belt runway and hi-tech visuals made the show really somethin’. And recently she announced a Spring tour with a Philadelphia stop on it: she’ll “dazzle” Wells Fargo Center with her Diamonds world tour on March 14th.
Meow, a lot has happened in the last year. First, she got beat within an inch of her life by her then-boyfriend Chris Brown. It was all over ‘the news.’ Then Talk That Talk happened. One of the most successful records of her life, it spawned the bigger-than-big single “We Found Love” (which recently won a VMA for Video of the Year – do people care about those anymore?). Holy Crap, it has over 200 million views. Then she talked to Oprah. And then Chris Brown got a tattoo of a (seemingly) beaten woman on his neck.
It’s a prickly topic. She doesn’t want to be the poster woman for survivors of domestic abuse. Fine. She also admits to loving the man who was convicted of beating the shit out of her. Okayyyy. Finally, she also admits to having grown up with an addict father who beat her mother. And everyone and their BFF has something to say about her/it/them: “HOW COULD SHE GO BACK TO HIM!?” “IF SHE FORGIVES HIM SHE’LL JUST GET BEAT DOWN AGAIN!” “SHE’S A MESS AND NEEDS HELP!” Maybe that’s just what I hear from the din of chatter that surrounds the Illumanti princess and Jay-Z pawn.
Furthermore, she’s not a brilliant vocalist, songwriter, dancer or artist. But I just love her. Talk, Loud and Good Girl Gone Bad are three of my favorite discs of the genre. She either knows how to pick the right producers, or someone she trusts and employs knows how to pick the right producers FOR her. Her and her camp know how to craft songs that coddle her Barbadian wail and it is working for her. Here’s hoping another corporate sponsor will drop another pair of free tickets in my Inbox but tickets go on sale on Saturday at noon.
Here’s a link to her VMA-opening performance of “Cockiness” with A$AP Rocky into “We Found Love.”

Okay, this is seriously ridiculous. I knew Rihanna had a “wannabe” Beyoncé thing going on but I didn’t know it was to this extent. Look at these video comparing the two and tell me what you think. Some of the Rihanna videos in the clips below came out before Bey’s, but there is simply no denying some of the other stuff.

I’m actually a bit offended. I mean, don’t get me wrong, I actually like Rihanna’s music (“Disturbia” is catchy as heck) and I’ll always be a Rihanna fan, but the girl is straight up copying Beyoncé in my opinion and it ain’t right. Just trying to be honest. She needs to stop wanting to be Sasha Fierce because she isn’t and will never be. Beyoncé has to be one of the greatest singers and performers of our time. She works too hard to have people taking her stuff. Take a look at the videos below. The second one is the best.

Poor boy, after workign with Rih he probably expects honesty. When she tries to lie her way onto the credits he will be shocked, Rihanna got on hers because she co-wrote, but did Beyonce? Nope, she just lied as usual!

Pop star Beyoncé’s sensual song, “Dance for You,” became her seventh song from 2011′s 4 to enter Billboard’s Hot 100 chart. The song just made the cut, debuting at No. 100 this week.

In the weeks prior to its Hot 100 debut, “Dance for You” lingered on Billboard’s Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles chart, waiting to breakthrough. This week the song finally enters the mainstream singles chart at No. 100 on the weight of digital sales.

While the promotion for Beyoncé’s 4 was slowed down with the pregnancy and eventual birth of her daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, the album still managed to chart seven singles on Billboard’s Hot 100 with “Dance for You” being the most recent entry. The highest peak from a 4 single on Billboard belongs to the “Best Thing I Never Had,” which reached No. 16 last year.

Originally a bonus cut on 4, Beyoncé chose to film a music video for “Dance For You.” The intimate slow jam got an equally sexy video in which the singer seductively dances for a detective. Its black-and-white throwback clip undoubtedly helped arouse sales for Beyoncé’s latest Billboard Hot 100 entry.

4 became her fourth solo album to debut at No. 1 on Billboard last year. The album has sold over 1 million copies in the U.S. since it release.

Beyonce hasn’t sold 75 million albums alone, she will never do it ;) She has sold between 25-30 million albums, she’s not a huge album seller that much considering how much her fans celebrate her and her success. Rihanna has sold 48 million singles just in the USA, something that Beyonce hasn’t done on worldwide level lol. She will never beat Britney Spears when it comes to album sales. Adele will sell over 30 million copies for sure, that’s more than all Beyonce’s albums combined LOL

Beyoncé Knowles (b. September 4, 1981) is an American Pop and R&B singer. Knowles rose to fame in the late 1990s as the lead singer of the R&B girl group Destiny’s Child. Knowles is the only artist in history to have all her studio albums win the Grammy Award for Best Contemporary R&B Album. In February 2010, the RIAA listed her as the top certified artist of the decade.

    Early Life and Career

Born Beyoncé Giselle Knowles on September 4, 1981, in Houston, Texas, Knowles started singing at an early age. As a child, she competed in local talent shows, and won many of these events by impressing audiences with her natural singing and dancing abilities.

Teaming up with her cousin, Kelly Rowland, and two classmates, Beyoncé formed an all-female singing group. Her father, Matthew Knowles, served as the band’s manager. The group went through some name and line-up changes before landing a record deal in 1997 with Columbia Records. Destiny’s Child soon became one of the most popular R&B acts, with the release of their first, self-titled album. Gaining momentum, the group scored its first No. 1 single on the pop charts with “Bills, Bills, Bills,” off their second album. The recording also featured another smash hit, “Say My Name.”

While enjoying her group’s success, Beyoncé began exploring other projects. She made her acting debut in 2001 with a starring role in MTV’s Carmen: A Hip Hopera. She then co-starred with Mike Myers in the spy parody Goldmember the following year. On the musical front, Beyoncé took center stage as a solo artist, releasing her first album, Dangerously in Love, in 2003. The recording became a huge success for her, both commercially and critically. It sold millions of copies and won five Grammy Awards. On the album, Beyoncé worked with a number of different artists, including Missy Elliott, Sean Paul and Jay-Z. She was rumored to be dating Jay-Z around this time, but the couple did not publicly acknowledge their relationship.

Destiny’s Child released their last studio album, Destiny Fulfilled, in 2004, and officially broke up the following year.

    Solo Career

On her own, Beyoncé continued to enjoy great success. Her second studio album, 2006′s B’Day featured such hits as “Irreplaceable” and “Beautiful Liar.” On the big screen, she starred opposite Jennifer Hudson, Jaime Foxx and Eddie Murphy in Dreamgirls. The film was adapted from the hit Broadway musical of the same name.

In 2008, Beyoncé married rapper and music mogul Jay-Z in a small, private ceremony in New York City. Among the guests sighted at the wedding were Beyoncé’s mother Tina Knowles; her father and manager Matthew; her sister Solange; Destiny’s Child members Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams; and friend Gwyneth Paltrow.

The newlywed continued to work as hard as ever, promoting her latest effort, I am … Sasha Fierce (2008). Beyoncé scored two big hits off the album—”Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It)” and “If I Were a Boy.” She also returned to the big screen that year, starring as R&B legend Etta James in Cadillac Records. The following January, Beyoncé sang James’ trademark song, “At Last,” for President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama at his inaugural ball.

In addition to acting and performing, Beyoncé runs a clothing line called House of Dereon with her mother. She also launched her own fragrance, Heat, in 2010. During her career, Beyoncé has served as a spokesperson and model for several other brands, including L’Oreal and Tommy Hilfiger.

She decided to drop her father as her manager in March 2011. She began work on a new album, and was signed on as the headlining act at the Glastonbury Festival in southwest England.

    Personal Life

Married to Jay-Z since 2008, Beyoncé was the subject of many pregnancy rumors over the years. In 2011, however, the notoriously private couple went public with the news of their impending new arrival. Beyoncé showed off her growing baby bump at the MTV Video Music Awards that August.

By the end of 2011, there had been several false reports of Beyoncé delivering her baby. She and Jay-Z finally welcomed their daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, on January 7, 2012. The couple spared no expense to maintain their privacy during this special time—renting out a floor of New York’s Lenox Hill Hospital.
