Jessie J Marks End Of ‘Who You Are’ Era With Rousing Set At iTunes Festival

Published: Saturday 22nd Sep 2012 by Sam

A testament to the strength of her talent and material, Jessie J has been working her debut LP ‘Who You Are’ for the better part of 18 months. However, as the age old adage goes, all good things must come to an end. For this campaign, that end arrived last night at the iTunes Festival in London.

Backed by a full band, the Essex-bred powerhouse served up a titillating set of hits from the album as well as cuts from artists who’ve inspired her. This was preceded by a speech which saw her thank the thousands in attendance for supporting her journey, going on to inform them that this would be last time she’d support the project as a body of work as she’s set to start recording album #2.

After watching her performances, we literally can’t wait!

See what we mean with her renditions of  ‘Do It Like A Dude’‘Who You Are’ and Usher’s ‘Climax’ after the jump…

Amazing.

I didn’t like the climax cover sounded like she was out of tune with the song but she sounded good.

Actually, it’s been 21 months. She has done an amazing job and according to itunes, she has had the largest audience of the festival thus far. Good for her. She has done very well with this era and from the snippet she read from her book and the article with the excerpt from the Daily Mail it will be a great read. She has come a long way from performing in small clubs and she deserves it. Jessie J is now a full blown pop star and she deserves every second of her success. 🙂

    that cover of “climax” >>>
Jessie J can be really good when she isnt being immature, hopefully her next album is solid like her debut.
