  4. mobwife: operation kill the B!+@# September 15, 2012

LOL at the “pregnant pause” Usher gave when CRACK SMOKER & FORMER TENNESEE PROSTITUTE Oprah Windfrey asked if he had been unfaithful!! We all know you cheated on ol’ girl which drove her insane!

Well I didn’t expect “Believe” to reach Platinum status as fast as it did, guess the former King of R&B (now trying to keep up with his lessors Fistopher Brown, Trey Songz, ugghh Frank Ocean? in terms of album sales) is doing something right.

He made a calculated risk signing Justin Bieber and ever since JB went R&B, I am now a fan. Now it’s time for the former King of R&B to do some promo for “Looking for myself” so it can also clock in at least Gold. I like Usher though, just need him to get serious again, we’ve had enough of the monstrosity that is Fistopher Brown and their Team Breezy delusions of grandeur.

Also, I am wondering why RCA is failing Jacob Latimore, he is this generation’s answer to Fistopher Brown, how come he is getting no promo even with all that talent. RCA needs restructuring.

King of R&B is James Brown get it together…..shm and you are a fan of JUSTINE BIEBER? Hide under a rock for the rest of your life.

      • Beyonce’s Weave (I COPY real hair) September 15, 2012

I respect your opinion but unless James Brown has sold over 10 million records (in the US alone) of one album, he is not the King of R&B. Usher sold over 10 million copies of Confessions in the US alone so had that title until “Looking for Myself” started struggling.

Also I listen to music for my benefit and not yours, who are just a faceless blogger from God knows where so I DO not care about what you think of my taste in music, if I want to listen to Justin Bieber, I will whether you like it or not. I am not going to hide under any rock because I listen to music for my benefit and not anyone else. There is a sit waiting for you in the corner.

      • MC September 15, 2012

I love Usher, but he is not and will never be the King of R&B it is not a matter of opinion it is facts. James Brown was influential he inspired many as the likes of Michael Jackson, David Bowe, Prince, Mick Jagger, etc. It is not about album sales, its about the impact of the music, the creativeness, the meaning, the influence the artist has over people for generations and generations to come.

You are quite right, you can listen to whomever you want, even if its Justin Bieber. I must say it is really embarrassing to admit to be a fan of Justin Bieber. I cannot take anyone seriously for be a fan of JB, it is quite laughable…..but then again its your life so have a nice life….as a Believer/JB fan lol 🙂

I like how you say that as if Usher’s music has not made an impact. In today’s R&B world, there are two names that consistently come up when trying to set a standard for an artist, it is either Michael Jackson or Usher. You cannot sell 10 million records from one album in one market without making an impact, it cannot happen. To do that, you have to make an impact. Adele has so far sold over 9 million records in the US, to say her music has not made an impact is like saying Lil’ Jon has made more of an impact in rap music than Eminem.

As far as stanning for JB, it is not embarrassing because JB is still in his growth phase. Once upon a time when Justin Timberlake was part of Nsync, it used to be embarrassing to stan for him, 50 million records world wide later, he is one of the respected names in music. Times change and if you cant keep up with the times, you’ll get left behind.

      • MC September 15, 2012

@Beyonce’s Weave (I COPY real hair) Usher did have a lot of impact in today’s music industry and inspired many, but that still doesn’t make him the King of R&B. I was not trying, in any way or form, to belittle his accomplishment. His 2004 LP is the biggest selling album of the highest-ever first week sales by an R&B artist, the second-highest first week sales for a male artist, and the seventh-highest first week sales of the recorded album charts history by SoundScan. I still respect him and no one has anything in the talents department (CB or JB) to compare to Usher……

As for your taste in JB, like I said its your preference. I just find it hard to believe anyone who is above 14 and a fangirl actually appreciates his music. JT and Usher were young when they came out, but do you know what sets those to apart from him? They can dance, entertain, sing (especially Usher), be innovative, and set trends. I will say people hate on JB way to much (sometimes unnecessarily) but he lacks the talent (he can sing, but his voice is weak and not impressive).

No, Usher is the King R&B, James Brown is the King of Soul

      • James227 September 15, 2012

Wrong R. Kelly is the King of R&B James Brown is the King of Soul. Usher & Chris Brown are on the same level but Usher is a bit higher with Prince of R & B.They both HAD big selling albums back in the day.Nowdays they both ain’t selling s***.

  8. Amanda September 16, 2012

The title makes it sound like Usher regretted marriage, regretted signing Justin Bieber and regretted making love to his own music… lol!
