Since the release of Christina Aguilera‘s scorching new single ‘Your Body’ last month, relative silence has greeted those eager to know the singer’s next promotional move.
Indeed, with less than three weeks until the song’s housing album ‘Lotus’ hits stores, many have been scratching their heads as to just what the “plan” is. Where are the performances? Major TV spots? New single(s)? An American Music Awards ‘Lotus’ showcase has been announced, yet this takes place after the album arrives.
Well, according to Christina, fans should fret not. For, speaking at the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Note II in Los Angeles last night, the superstar diva -who was rocking a noticeably leaner frame- promised a “huge” promotional push for the hotly anticipated LP.

As any industry enthusiast would echo, a solid campaign is usually 65% promo / 35% material. Hence, so long as Team Xtina have her at the opening of a door (aka Mariah Carey “Emancipation” ’05 promo), she should be good. She’s increasingly looking in great performance shape too, which makes the prospect of new live showings even more exciting. Xtina always puts it down.

it’s about time they were all up her ass about something positive. her show ‘the voice’ is a huge success. she was featured with maroon 5 that was # 1 for weeks and in the top 50 for nearly a year. her ‘love your body’ video was crazy good.

Uhm…there will be no extensive promo push for Lotus on the same lines as TEOM.
Christina will probably promote Lotus until the holiday is over, and then sit her ass down some where.
And @ I judge flops, Femme Fatale did a lot better than the disaster that was Bionic, and Brit did not have to cancel a whole tour.

There is no way this is gonna be a repeat of “05″ Mimi era for Mariah. The execution of that album was flawless, and L.A., Benny and Mariah cultivated one of the best music comebacks in history. The wheels were already in motion before Mimi’s album dropped with the “The Return of the Voice Campaign” and they went hard in major TV and print ads. They charged up the fanbase too.. IF “Lotus” goes gold it will be considered a “comeback” of sorts because Bionic did horrible.
