Cover Star: Karlos Farrar Sings Jojo’s ‘Demonstrate’

This week’s That Grape Juice ‘Cover Starcomes from soulful crooner Karlos Farrar. Watch as the US native takes on the falsetto and melismatic challenges of Jojo‘s latest single ‘Demonstrate’ below:

Kudos to Karlos!  The crooner kept it cool without depriving the songs of the bells and whistles that make it great.  Where so many people overdo it is in their interpretation of the original singer’s runs/riffs, but Farrar didn’t go too far.  Still managing to make the song his all the while…

I’m not going to say that he can’t sing, but i will say that his voice isn’t that original in a world full male singers

LMAOOO I’m sorry but this is exactly what came up to mind.
Come on he doesn’t have a bad voice but his performance is way under special or even good. No vocal abilities.
Sam you know you picked the guy cause he must be your taste!
If we are to have a cover star post every week, at least give us some quality PLEASE

I don’t like how he’s a males & didn’t really do the climax’s of the song. He couldn’t simply do the low note run? That kinda just messed up the whole thing. It was really off in some pieces. Definitely not on JoJo’s level. He definitely could’ve used the fact that he was a male to sing the lower key’s quite well. I guess maybe he’s a high tenor, but he didn’t even really sell that part of his voice in this cover either. Whatever
