Exclusive Hot Shots: Michelle Williams Hits Studio

Published: Saturday 13th Oct 2012 by Sam

After garnering critical acclaim with her last studio album ‘Unexpected’, Destiny’s Child graduate Michelle Williams is back in the lab working on its follow-up.

In these exclusive new shots, the vocal powerhouse is seen laying down verses in a Los Angeles studio with friend and vocal arranger Lonny Bereal. The pair have been hard at work on the as yet untitled LP (due Spring 2013), which is described as boasting an R&B inspirational sound.

Having thoroughly enjoyed Ms. Williams last effort, as well as her previous Gospel releases, we’re oh so amped for this. Are you?

2013 seems like such a long time away, I can hardly wait. Knowing Michelle Williams, she will deliver a great album, here’s to hoping it charts well and sells.

I used to be a DC3 stan and I’m so disappointed in Michelle, she seems so lost musically.

Some people aren’t meant to be solo artist

Love unexpected. It was released at the wrong time of the year. It was an “album recession year” where people stop buying album and buy online. It could be a hit if she re release it. Didn’t happen tho. I really hope she don’t do gospel again, cause we already saw her doing that. Cut the hair michelle, she looks younger and fresh but not too short. I really hope theres a dance track and more RNB with inspirational tracks. Her vocals are too powerful to be just gospel and RNB. She can belt it out for sure.

Destineys Child was a SHITE group with SHITE music, TLC was way better

    • opp!! October 13, 2012

TLC was a s*** group. Hence 60 million records sold by destiny’s child >45-50Million TLC.

En Vogue>Destiny’s Child>SWV>Xscape>Brownstone>TLC non singing asses.

      • THE GREAT LACEFRONCE. October 13, 2012

        DUMB H**!

TLC has sold 65+ ww and Desineys S*** only 40 million ww

HOWEVER, whats more important is that Destinys S*** made ghetto trash music while TLC made meaningful music 🙂

She has a likeable personality but I honestly don’t see it for her. Her voice is extremely thin and nasal. It actually sounds more irritating than pleasant. anyway, hopefully this Gospel album has some depth and meaning. However, since she’s with kelly’s creative partner, Lonny Bereal, hopefully it’s not mixed with out of order s** songs. Love, Gospel, Life! Keep it true!

    C’mon Michelle! Love you x

  15. Jonathan Gardner October 14, 2012

    YES YES YES!

I love Lonny’s track with Kelly, “Favor”.

I’m so keen to hear what’s been cooked up. I love all Michelle’s albums from 2002’s Heart to Yours to 2008’s Unexpected!

She’s incredibly underrated as a vocalist and songwriter. She’s a triple threat with her great acting too.
