Perhaps in a bid to sully Nicki Minaj‘s public image and soften her own at the same time, iconic diva Mariah Carey arrived at  an ‘American Idol’ photo shoot in Baton Rouge yesterday…with a police escort.

This, following a threat she claims- but vehemently denied by ‘Idol‘ producers and Minaj herself- saw the Rapper threaten to shoot her after getting into a nasty argument on Monday while filming together.

Sure to intensify their already volatile relationship, Mimi’s decision to call the police and discuss the matter with ‘The View’s Barbara Walters is believed to have triggered an obnoxious Twitter rant from the Pepsi front man.

A rant, which saw her spew the following:

Here’s hoping this year’s talent isn’t overshadowed by this week’s drama.

We also hope Minaj learns to showcase the class and composure she didn’t deliver during last night’s outburst. An outburst, that was both embarrassing for both herself and the brands she depends on to push her cause.

    I find Nicki’s twitter message to be inaccurate because reports came out earlier when the judges told Mariah she was the best judge that they ever had. In that same report it says producers are fed up with Nicki because she has been consistently late and it takes too much work with her.

      What a dumb comment.

      First of all Tommy Mottola isn’t even at Sony anymore…and has been gone from there for at least a decade. I don’t even know if he’s still an executive at any record label today. He definitely doesn’t have the industry clout that he once had. Second of all, even if he did…why the hell would he help Mariah? They have been estranged form each other since the early 2000s. She’s not his concern anymore. If she can’t control her own career and rivalries, then that’s her problem, not his. On the other hand, Nicki is affiliated Cash Money…run by Bird man and Slim who, unlike Tommy, ARE relevant behind the scenes and could use their power to sabotage competitors on Nicki’s behalf. But truthfully, they don’t need to do that since Mariah hasn’t been hot in years and just saw her latest song immediately flop. And since this whole “beef” started, I haven’t seen “Triumphant” make any kind of surge from the publicity. So, yeah…

      I always knew Mariah stans were delusional, but it never ceases to amuse me just how dumb you are.

      Exactly!!!! I’m not Team Minaj at all, but I can clearly separate “the artists” from “the individual” and fairly analyze a situation without bringing up someone’s status. I’m sorry, but both women seem to have done some things that were out of order. Until you know everything from beginning to end it doesn’t make sense to harp on one thing in particular without details. We saw a reaction – we have no idea where it came from.       You don’t have to be devoid of a personality to be a legend. As far as I know MJ, Whitney and Celine all treat people how they wish to be treated but that doesn’t make them pushovers. They were never faced with a loud mouth brat shouting them down on national television. But then, equally, they would have never done reality (here-in the problem lies).

      Mariah is a drama queen, fair enough but she’s earnt the right in her career to be treated with respect. That does not mean that she can’t be called out on her actions, but there’s a way to call someone out and it doesn’t include shouting ‘off with your head’ on a loop. Nicki needs to learn how to compose herself.

    I’m honestly trying not to even entertain this, but Mariah is being a drama Queen! Instead of letting things simmer down , she’s maneuvering like someone that has every intention of seeing things escalate to even greater heights. Mariah said her piece on The View. Nicki let her emotions get the best of her when she said what she said – but it’s time to move on! What’s so hard about that? This can’t be done when you have parties involved that’s interested in sensationalizing everything to gain sympathy or get attention. It’s sad to see some people resort to this.

    Look, I’m not a Nicki fan either, but where was this outrage when Ellen Degeneres was a judge on AI???? Or Sharon Osburne or Howard Stern on that other show. You don’t have to be a singer to be able to singing contest. I mean Simon Cowell and Randy aren’t singers. Yes, they are producers or talent managers, but so is NIcki.

    I love how people hear things and come up with their own story of what things are. First Mariah didn’t go to Barbara, Barbara said she called Mariah. Second Mariah never said Nicki threatened to shoot her, Mariah said she was told from people who worked backstage(i.e. People who do hair and make up) that Nicki said if she had a gun she would shoot her. Also I’m getting sick of these different stories from these producers. One side its oh Mariah called Nicki a bitch thats what started it, another its oh no Mariah was giving her opinion on a contestant when Nicki cut her off and said she was wrong.

    Mariah if I was you I’d quit this show, you don’t need it they need you. Now they making you look like a damn fool just to boost ratings.

    I dont give a damn if Mimi did shade Nicki first, thats my bish! Im gonna always ride with Mimi! A true Diva and i luv it! Somebody shouldve been checked Nicki wannabe Queen Bee ass. Being shes the Iconic successful woman on that panel..

      Mariah is, has been (pun), and always will be an overrated bitch, who has proven herself to be mentally unstable too. No one needs to bow down to her loony tunes. Mariah tried to get cute with Nicki, and Nicki quickly let her know that it wasn’t gonna happen. “Legend,” my ass. Mariah is about as much of a “legend” as Taylor Dayne is.

        Nice try. We both know you don’t actually believe what you just wrote. I have more evidence to back up Mariah’s claim as a legend than you have to dispute it.     I don’t think Mimi herself thinks that Nicki is likely to shoot her. Its more likely that one of her crazy ass fans would do the deed. (mimi should re-think wearing hot pink, it stands out too much)

    And as for those who think this is all for show, why would Nicki agree to take on the role of the villain at the risk of destroying her career?

If she doesnt make another album ever, she will still remain over Queen Bee 2.0. Nicki the clown, still havent proven herself yet. Is RR platnuim yet? Hell NO! U stupid bishes wanna call Mimi a has been but Nicki has never really popped off, to showcase shes n it for the long haul. And Mimi can name drop celebs shes worked with and how many grammys she has all she wants. Nicki just mad, she hasnt accomplish half of what Mimi has done.

    People who are praising Mariah and bashing Nicki need to get the stick out of their asses. I am a MIMI fan as well, but it’s obvious that she was trying to run the show and diss Nicki. Mariah needs to get over her damn self! I find it funny how before this feud, people were talking about how Mariah can’t sing anymore, how she’s fat, and how she’s a diva and high maintenance, but now people are so quick to run to her side. Why the hell didn’t TMZ release the whole damn video? Why didn’t the video show what Mariah said to Nicki. People get mad all the time and argue, especially at work. It’s unprofessional to be passive aggressive as well and it is also immature and condescending, so don’t excuse Mariah’s behavior. I think that Nicki should have handled the situation better or cussed her out privately, but the shit happened and it’s time to move on. Mariah, if your ass is that scared, why don’t you get out your contract? Legend or not, elder or not, respect has to be given in order to receive it.

      Nicki was being sarcastic and depicting what Mariah must have been thinking when she called Barbara Walters. Ie. Mariah: “Lets just say nicki said smthn about a gun. ppl will believe it cuz she’s a black rapper. Lmao.
