Little Mix Rock ‘X Factor Australia’ / Perform ‘DNA’ Acoustic

Published: Tuesday 30th Oct 2012 by Sam

Following in the footsteps of fellow X Factor alumni One Direction, Little Mix are leaving no stone unturned in their quest for global domination.

The Brit-Pop quad are hard at work on the push for their debut album ‘DNA’, promoting the LP’s title track here on home-turf, while jetting to Australia to perform International single ‘Wings’ on The X Factor AU.

Watch the ladies’ rousing acapella of ‘DNA’ during a fan Ustream, as well as their X Factor showcase below…

Yes, yes, and yes for those oh so lush harmonies. The ladies still have some work to go on their collective stage presence, though, as evidenced by their somewhat decent showing below…

‘DNA’, the album, arrives on November 19th.

They can sing, but they are BORING.
when their album flops, Simon will drop them faster than a hot potato.

    They are progressing nicely.
Great they’ve focused on the collective vocals 1st of all.
Once that’s fully locked they can add the rest

the DNA performance isn’t acoustic it’s acapella….acoustic is when an artist peforms with acoustic non-electric instruments…they performed it acapella by just using there vocals 🙂

Love that part of DNA they are singing.
Although for once, I could hear a few off key notes in the harmonies which made me enjoy that moment a bit less.

The acapella is incredible. The X Factor performance is good except Leigh-Anne still needs work on her breathing control and they should have actually sang on the chorus rather than mimed and danced. Their styling has got a lot better btw.

I’m pretty sure they sang the whole thing. Perrie’s voice was everywhere during the chorus it can’t be mimed. Fair enough if they used a backing track but they definitely didn’t mime.

I agree with the styling, apparently they have a new stylist. No wonder!

Their vocals have really improved since the X-Factor as, quite frankly, I didn’t think they were worthy winners. They have obviously worked on their harmonies with a vocal coach and now they sound great, I was really impressed with their acapella. If an artist cannot sing acapella then they cannot sing, end of, I’d love to hear Cheryl Cole do it, ROFL! Now they need to working on combining their great vocals with movement as their vocals defintely suffered in the Aussie performance, they were reasonable but not great. Definitely the best girl group we have at the moment and I’m impressed that Syco haven’t chosen generic pap for their first two singles ;o)
