New Song: Ne-Yo – ‘Forever Now’

Published: Wednesday 17th Oct 2012 by Sam

With the release of Ne-Yo‘s ‘R.E.D’ drawing ever nearer, the Pop-Urban force has premiered  a new track from the set titled ‘Forever Now’.

Having deemed the LP a fusion of his R&B roots and mainstream experiments, the high octane cut belongs to the latter.

Take a listen below…

While the Motown mogul often gets flack for his Popier efforts, we’re certainly feeling this. Are you?

No sorry. Im not interested in this pop sound Ne-Yo is trying to pull off. It sounds like everything else on the radio.

I was totally in with it until that David Guetta/Calvin Harris type s*** started playin. I will not stand by Ne-yo’s new music until he sends us the r&b he started out on.

      i agree 100%

It started off good until the chorus came in…too dance pop for my taste, but ‘Lazy Love’ was good though.

It starts too abruptly. You either start acapella or instrumental, you can’t just BAM yer in the middle of a song. I’m not feeling it or any Ne-yo song lately. And by lately I mean in the past 5 years GURL BYE.

I appreciate he trying to bring a depth of lyrical content to the same ol euro recycled beat BUTall I hear is those same ol progressions in the production and thats a turn off.

U can mix 50 songs similar with this in one song and will all sound the same.

It’s a problem for me and the people buy it so as much as ne-yo may wanna be all RnB, he know where he getting money from. KMT

Although I had planned to buy Ne-Yo’s album on Black Friday, I think I’m going to hold off until I hear a few more tracks. I don’t care for this and am still only luke-warm on Lazy Love. I hope that the audience he’s trying to reach with his new sound appreciates it and supports the album.
