The X Factor 2012: Eliminations (Week 8)

Published: Sunday 25th Nov 2012 by Sam

The X Factor 2012 saw its 8th set of eliminations tonight. Find out who’s heading home this week…

{An international phenomenon, local versions of the show show now air in the US, Italy, France and beyond. The brain-child of Simon Cowell, The X Factor is responsible for birthing the careers of Leona Lewis, Alexandra Burke, One Direction, Cher Lloyd and JLS.
Judging the hopefuls are Gary Barlow, Tulisa Contostavlos, original panelist Louis Walsh, and newcomer Nicole Scherzinger}.

After registering the lowest public vote of the contestants, Rylan and Union J were two acts put on the chopping block.

The weekly sing-off proceeded with Rylan taking to the stage first singing, with Union J following with Leona Lewis‘ version of Snow Patrol’s ‘Run’.

In the end, it was Union J who were granted a pass onto next week’s show, after the judges came to a majority decision – sending Rylan home.

The X Factor continues on ITV1 next Saturday.

That dude from Union J screwed over his band-mates by coming out gay, now their careers are over before they’ve even started.
