Beyonce may be “classy” but she is artificial, her IG is not natural or spontaneous, it’s like a photo shoot. Other artists on IG have real experience’s events and random photos of things they do throughout their respective days. How is beyonce’s mother more white than black? Tina looks nothing like a white woman she couldn’t pass for a white woman if she wanted to. While on the other hand someone like rashida jones (Quincy jones daughter) Could easily pass for white. Tina knowles not so much she is a black woman and she looks like one is that something bad? Beyonce also looks like a light skinned black woman again is that something bad?
You need to educate yourself and learn that lighskin doesn’t always equate to being mixed. There are darker women who are actually mixed such as cindy from the 90s girl-group en vogue her mother is white – father is black but no one would have ever guessed it because some expect for all biracials to be fair skinned with long flowing hair.
Those stereo-typical perceptions are due to lack of education and research. All biracials do not fit that standard. And one doesn’t need white dna in order to be beautiful some of you are so color-struck all you see is skin-color and think someone deserves extra beauty points just because they may have white dna. Mixed or not there is beauty all across the board ranging from different skin-tones.

I’m almost like “Who cares”? She’s going into a “new” era when “4″ was never properly closed? It just goes to show how bad the era was because the music couldn’t sustain itself. No tour was added (yes, I do remember she had a baby) and the video for “End of Time” wasn’t released. For her to just “flush” “4″ away like it never happened is a shame but also a testament to what happens when there’s no real soul in the music and you release records for fame. If Stevie Wonder or MJ, Janet, Mariah etc had released an album with songs they themselves wrote there’s no way they’d move on to the next project so quickly until every song had the chance to speak for itself, be promoted and performed etc.
As Beyonce just seems to jump on the band wagon with whoever’s popular at the time, (Missy, 50 Cent, Shakira, Gaga, Frank Ocean, Miguel), chucks out albums every 2.5 years on average and doesn’t write her own material (haters stay quiet; receipts say no!) there seems to be limited connection to the music. It makes her seem vapid, vacant and hollow; just striving for relevance instead of artistic credibility.

But you just mentioned Mariah and Janet who both have suffered bad sales with their last 2-3 albums and they like Bey just went on and made a new album. My point is since the music climate has changed, these artists gotta play catch up, they can’t be out there promoting albums that did not get a positive reaction from the fans from the get go thinking it just might miraculously come together after several tries. It’s just not gonna happen. We have people like rihanna churning out albums every thanksgiving regardsless of the previous album’s performance. She’s not waiting for the music to speak to anyone, atleast Bey let’s one album satisfy HER FANS for a healthy 2 years before moving on to the next.

But that’s my point; if B wasn’t pressed she wouldn’t have to be rushing an album out in time for Superbowl. Think about it, true talent isn’t worried about who’s doing what. As MJ said “True art never dies”. 2 years is NOTHING when it comes from an artist who talks about wanting to be a leader, iconic and legendary. 2 years is 6 months short of an era for most great artists. Real icons and legends can release, promote, shoot vids and tour and release their next 4 years later. B stans just don’t want to have to admit that their fave is hanging on.
SIlly thing is that she just calmed down, lived a little (not one year of visiting tourist sites) and saw what the average, ordinary person goes through she’d have more to share and sing about, rather than just gathering a collective of industry talent and getting them to do the work so she can take a percentage for her name being attached. Please don’t tell me her subject matter is wide ranging. Beyonce talks about 3 things, relationships, female empowerment or having power. She doesn’t mention more important world topics (see what “Man in the Mirror” addressed) because either she can’t do it convincingly or she doesn’t care. Probably some of both!

I think everyone should really be pleased with the way Bey worked the 4 era. She gave us 7 videos (including I Was Here). She kicked off everything with stellar performances (Glastonbury, Billboard, Oprah) and ended on a high not at the MTV awards, where she revealed her pregnancy. How can anyone have unreasonable expectations of a tour afterwards.
You’ve mention Janet and Mariah and both women finished their last era’s prematurely after only 2-4 single releases(with videos). You seem careful with the way you worded everything to emphasize how they would have stuck by albums they’ve written music on, but I see no reason why every release shouldn’t be seen as important. It’s work that represents them.
Having Missy, Miguel and Frank Ocean pen songs for you is not the same as using popular artists for duets or album features. Those people write songs for a lot of artists. Beyonce was always the main attraction used to sell her own work, it was never about whose on her album cuts. That’s not even her kind of hype.
I actually think it’s great to see Beyonce team up with other strong women. It’s great for someone of her caliber to promote unity and make it less about competition. It’s too much of that anyway! As far as complaining about her dropping albums every 2 years – I just don’t get it. She’s obviously not rushing. I can’t believe people still think she’s releasing too often at this rate.
As for Bey having to come up with a Man In the Mirror in 2012 … 0_O Bey has plenty of meaningful songs in her catalog (I Am … , 4), she’s doesn’t have to do these kind of songs all the time. I just want her to be an artist continuing to give us her best!

The industry has changed to where having an edge is what gets you noticed. However, Bey’s career was patterened around the motown/tina turner era…glittery dresses, over trained stiff interviews, pageantry, etc. Therefore, these types of looks and poses on her tend to look unauthentic and desperate. This is also part of the reason she is struggling to keep up with today’s leading pop hit makers on social networking sites.
The superbowl will no doubt be a fantastic performance that people will talk about the day after, but then what’s next. Unfortunately, its not enough…..her potential young fans need to see into her personal life and not just her being the “perfect” wife….hopefully she shows some vulnerability other than the calculated “i swam in the ocean and found myself” theme she relies so much on. I know there’s a real girl inside of there and I’d love to see her come out, and own her…not blame her own some crazy alter ego that can only work for one album.

I agree. Now, you need to be edgy and wacky. Beyonce does not have that. Fashion is even more important to sell records, in this day and we all know Beyonce has never been seen as fashionista. Her body is mot built for most fashion anyway. Iman, said, you need to be tall and thin to look good in clothes. This plays in to the advantage of Rihanna. 5ft8 and slim. Rita Ora tries, but at 5ft, she cannnot wear the gowns. The Super Bowl has zero bounce WW and only the winning team and the MVP will get all the press. Especially by the white mdeia. If the MVP is white, that is the one who will get all the attention.

Fasf forward to 2012. RNB is dead. Those acts I named had to leave the genre and Ashanti does not even have a deal. There is another mainstream black girl, who is even more famous. She is younger,slim and considered to be on of the most sexiest women in the world. They put her on GQ covers. Something black singers do not get.
Beyonce of 2012 is fattter, older and mom. She is not that girl from 2003 anymore. Just lik Brit is not teh school girl from Hit me baby…

All I see is a short, fat old woman in her 40′s trying to act like a fashionista, wearing clothes, to small for her frame , and clothes that are out dated. It this short fat old woman, had a clue about fashion, she will no, that all the outfits she is rocking are not even in style. She needs to read more vogue. Or go to fashion shows. Well i must say that bey looks rather dashing in that fierce sweater…I have never claimed to be a big beyonce fan though, but would suck a homeless man’s dick before i took free tickets to a RIAHNNA concert, over a beyonce. THEse pics do looked rather forced though might i say. I LIKE beyonce but i think she needs to connect more with her fans before she bores them into a coma…. I’m not saying that she should start visiting strip clubs, and asking jay to help her roll her blunts in order to take pics on instagram though. I’m saying that she needs to be more active for this is the era to be, or else those album sells will definitely start to suffer let’s be honest. I hope she does slay for 2013, but i am a little nervous because the likely hood of that happening are beginning to look like the likely hood of rihanna actually be a real singer, and that’s very very slim with these once a month pics….well let’s just see because well you know beyonce she never afraid of hard work unlike her other bishes who take daily or might i say hourly weed breaks for not even a days of work.

I think Beyonce missed the boat for the Social Media, I really hope she does well in 2013 but I don’t see her reaching the level of the Sasha Fierce Era. She is really missing the point here, Beyonce needs to start looking at herself as Beyonce Blue Ivy’s mom, instead of posting these pointless photos of herself she should be posting photos of herself playing with Blue Ivy and photos of her hanging around with her girlfriends if she still has any left. An even better idea however would be for her to re-hire Matthew so he can give her the direction she so clearly needs to move forward.
