After wowing audiences worldwide with his sensual brand of R&B, Miguel now finds himself lending his skills to another sonic trendsetter this month. A trendsetter, who goes by the name of...Beyonce.
Sharing this snap of them together during a studio session for her fifth album, he marks the latest act the singer has enlisted to help craft the project, following studio sessions with ‘Climax’ writer Elijah Blake, last month.
Now find out how Miguel found out he was to work with Knowles, in an interview with MTV below…
Before hitting the studio, he shared:
“I just got word that I’ll be in [the studio] with Beyoncé tomorrow which is amazing. I heard it from my team, and I was like, ‘Are you serious?’ ‘Are you sure?’ ‘Are we talking about the Beyoncé? And after taking a second to confirm and double confirm and triple confirm, I’m excited to hear the direction of her new material, and hopefully come up with something that’s really special and really showcases her perspective.”

Broadway tributing Beyoncé
On December 3 (9:30pm), some of Broadway’s best young talent will sing dazzling new arrangements of songs from Beyoncé’s four hit albums, including a few selections from her previous group, Destiny’s Child. The concert is the third of the “Broadway Sings” series; previously honored Michael Jackson and Adele.
The concert will feature over 15 cover songs to celebrate the pop icon’s greatest hits, including “Halo”, “Single Ladies”, “Love On Top”, and “Irreplaceable”. The performers will be accompanied by a full band, which will be orchestrated, arranged, and directed by Joshua Stephen Kartes.

As a solo artist, Beyoncé Knowles has sold over 13 million albums, making her one of the best-selling music artists of all time. I hope that the writers and producers that she’s working with, don’t discuss the album too much. That’s what they did with this last album. They talked and talked too much about it, building the hype over it and it was just “o.k.” “4″ did o.k., but it was nowhere near as successful as her previous albums. She needs to do like Justin Timberlake did with his, “Justified” album. Not one soul knew that this guy was recording a solo album, (at least I didn’t), and them BAM! He came out of nowhere with it and blew up! That’s what Beyonce needs to do. She needs to tell the people that she’s working with to keep their mouths shut and stop talking so much. Leave the element of surprise for your fans. Sometimes, when you hype things up too much by constantly talking about it, it rarely turns out to be epic.

A song which probably had Prince throw up in his own mouth at a bitch completely jacking his style. Naturally, Beyoncé manages to snag a song writing credit and first billing as the song’s producer. After all, screaming ♪ Make love to meeeeeeeeeeeeeee ♪ non-stop towards the end of the song is a songwriting contribution purely because it wasn’t a feature of the original recording.

R&B singer Ne-Yo has hit back at allegations he “dissed” Beyonce Knowles over her recording of his track “Irreplaceable”, insisting his recent comments were not intended to cause offense.
The “So Sick” hitmaker originally wrote the song for himself, but later handed the track to Beyonce and he admitted in a recent interview that he wishes he could have recorded it himself. Geez, people are still mad about everything B. Things still haven’t changed 15+ years later. It honestly says a lot about how people perceive Beyonce – she’s a threat (always have and always will be). The Beyonce fuss is tiring and just old – like yesterday! She can never be at peace. It’s not only frustrating, but it’s sad! Beyonce is analyzed, criticized and everything turns into a spectacle when the B word is mentioned. It’s not only on blogs , that same passion shows up when your around those people that “come alive” when they hear the B word. It doesn’t matter if people stan for newer artists or legendary artists – a lot of times the envy still shows up. It’s like the more talented you are the more people come together to tear down someone.
Beyonce’s ALWAYS at fault for everything, let’s see what the arguments are:
“She’s stealing credits” – although she has shown that she’s quite capable of writing a hit and in a lot of these collaborations have been said to be great at arranging the melodies. That’s songwriting! Trust me it makes a BIG difference. How many poetic/well written songs have we heard by ______ that don’t even keep our interest. Some people use the same formula over and over and it’s a bore. We all know that DC was a breath of fresh air, so it’s not hard to see the skill Bey has. Her harmonies and “quick-singing” abilities is insane. She’s like a bullet , speeding through her songs with agility very few is able to duplicate and that was always her trademark.
Old claims: “She never takes off” – Her albums have always been 2/3 years apart. It’s just that people panic everytime she returns.
Silly claims: “She have a fake baby bump” – Now if Bey gave birth in the comfort of her own home the pregnancy would have NEVER been accepted by so many of her naysayers. It was a bold move for Bey to have her baby in a Bronx hospital. Beyonce wasn’t getting away with any funny business there – trust me.
Then people always disect every video and accuse her of stealing ideas. I’ve seen many legends come up movie themes for video concepts (Janet – You Want This), signature moves from underground scenes (MJ -Moonwalk , Madonna – Vogue) and even some pay homage to other legends (Whitney – I’m Your Baby Tonight) and Bey seems to be the only one pressured to do something that HAS NEVER BEEN DONE BEFORE. Why? So many of her peers are so blatant in their approach to imitating other artists that came before them and they’re never called out. Btw, I picked my own favs to make an example out of this, I’m not looking down on them.
Then last but not least , there’s the issue of labelling her an Icon. If she’s not then most of your favs have a looooooooong way to go!
