Mutya Keisha Siobhan Cover ‘Ponystep’ Magazaine / Talk Comeback

Published: Monday 26th Nov 2012 by Sam

Brit-Pop trio Mutya Keisha Siobhan are revving up their long-awaited comeback campaign.

Due next year, the project is most notable in that it’s the first album the original line-up of the Sugababes will have released in over twelve years.

Already hotly anticipated, the ladies amplify their buzz with a new feature in Ponystep magazine; one which sees them pose it up on the cover of the publication’s December issue and also provide a revealing insight into how their comeback came to fruition.

Excerpts after the jump…

Via DM:

Keisha said: ‘I remember sitting on my couch watching Mutya being interviews on ‘Lorraine’ just after I’d left the Sugababes, and Lorraine said “you might as well call Siobhan and get the original band back together.” I could see Mutya thinking “perhaps”. That was the start.’

‘After that I facebooked Siobhan and we said we should meet up,’ Mutya adds.

Although before the three ladies could even think about creating new music together, there were some problems to work out.

‘Me and Siobhan had to sit down and have that conversation before anything else,’ Keisha admits.

‘There were a lot of things misconstrued over the years and we weren’t in a good place. But we reached an understanding and were able to move forward.’

Now, the group is ready to leave their troubles behind and reveal they are releasing a new album next year, though it might be a little different from the sound they created fourteen years ago.

‘I think it’s a step up from the first album,’ Mutya explains. ‘I just hope people will enjoy it. Actually, I know people will enjoy it!’

Be sure to check out the full Ponystep interview when the issue hits newsstands on December 3rd. Here’s hoping the group’s material follows not long after, as we’re super-amped!

They’re waiting for the right time to release some new material but I think it’s about time! Girls Aloud ain’t doing that great so there’s only Stooshe getting the praise. I like Stooshe though.

Have you heard the Stooshe album? Only one okay song and the rest is a novelty same sounding mess, plus they’re too old for the image they’re portraying…. or look too old.

Looking forward to MKS has to offer, i hope they don’t disappoint

  5. Well B**** November 26, 2012

I don’t know why people are getting so excited over the “original sugababes” when Siobhan only done one out off seven albums Heidi Range is more of a sugababe then she is don’t get me wrong I do like Siobhan and I think she has the best voice out of the “original sugababes” but don’t forget why she left after one album cos the other two slags where bulling her.
Keisha can sing or dance for s*** & Mutya has a s*** voice as well along with a identity crisis the girl thinks she is a black woman and wants to be Misha B and has never had a solo number 1 hahaha
This whole new group is a JOKE and I can’t wait for them to FLOP.
Bring on the NEW Sugababes Heidi Range, Amelle Berrabah & Jade Ewen who can sing circles around them other whores.
