She deserves to break out and solidify her legend. “Sorry” was a great record, but sadly it didn’t get a shine yet. “Got Me Good” is not getting the shine it deserves either! I feel like Ciara should just do a bunch of solid R&B midtempos and then do some dance pop songs. I mean i like her urban swagged out songs and what not but they don’t appeal to the mainstream music scene that buy music. But her R&B midtempos and dance pop songs perform moderately to really well. Promise, Ride, Like A Boy, Never Ever, Can’t Leave Em Alone all performed well and on the R&B charts got her awards and noms. 1,2 Step, Goodies, LSM, Get UP performed extremely well and got her awards and noms. She needs to stick to Midtempo R&B and Dance songs that’s her area of prosperity. She got lucky with “Oh” because it follwed to successful singles and a decent listen for mainstream pop auidence but Songs like Gimme Dat, That’s Right are too urban Got me Good is on the boderline of being too urban we will see how it fairs but on youtube the video views are lagging as is the listening auidence while Sorry is still getting more attention despite being out 6 weeks longer.

I agree. As much as people hate it, I don’t think “dance music” is going to go away. Midtempo songs can be played on the radio consistently. Ciara would be wise to heed your advice. She can save the “urban swag I’m a BADD chick” songs for her mixtapes.
