As earlier reported, festive diva Mariah Carey illuminated New York’s Rockefeller Center this week when she performed at the annual Christmas Tree Lighting event.
At time of writing, only fan footage had hit the net. Yet, last night saw the 42 year old’s renditions of ‘All I Want For Christmas’ and ‘Christmas Time Is In The Air Again’ air on NBC. As reported, ‘Christmas Time’ is being pushed in support of Mariah’s second Holiday LP ‘Merry Christmas II You’ – which is being re-released this year after first impacting the charts in 2010.

While the years have shaved off some of the “effortless” from Mariah’s vocal delivery, her voice holistically remains one of the best in the game.
Needless to say, we can’t wait to hear her new material – which should be arriving early next year in time for American Idol. (Let’s pretend ‘Triumphant’ never happened).

Amazing. And I´ve watched 2 or 3 different takes she did of the song, and she sounded phenomenal all everytime and doing a different belt each time. True great

It started off a little shakey…. but her voice is one of the greatest.
I dont like her dress at all. Her face was gorgeous, as usual, but that dress was not flattering to her figure.

I really don’t know what Mariah went through when she had those iffy vocal periods BUT she defo back on her vocals properly.
I was not feeling that time when she would chop her words and seem to struggle through the songs and I LOVE me some Mariah!!!
