Another day, another Twitter battle.

Indeed, after the week started off with a bang with R&B bad boy Chris Brown’s fiery exchange with TV writer/comedienne Jenny Johnson, now his ‘Right By My Side’ co-star Nicki Minaj is stewing her own brand of Twit-battling with a rant against former ‘American Idol’ judge Steven Tyler (of Aerosmith).

The rock icon asserted during a recent interview with MTV that Minaj and fellow feuding judge Mariah Carey should, “Shut the f*ck up and focus [on the] talent”.

As what he said next has had much of the net abuzz for the past day or so, tell us:

Did Minaj respond fairly to Tyler’s comments?

Tyler continued with MTV stating:

“If it was Bob Dylan, Nicki Minaj would have had him sent to the cornfield! Whereas, if it was Bob Dylan with us, we would have brought the best of him out.”

Minaj responded via Twitter rampage:

    I dont think Tyler was being racist. I think he was trying to convey the idea that Nicki doesn’t have good taste in music….

    Tyler’s opinion wasn’t needed. I get that people have the right to say whatever they want to, but ppl should still respect each other. Especially since we haven’t even seen the show to know how the judges judge.

    Tyler is legend, but that doesn’t give him the right to be offensive. Especially since he doesn’t know what music Nicki listens to or good/bad of a judge Nicki is.

    Not racist….just completely unnecessary

        He didn’t even say that directly about Minaj or Carey, he said that the show needs to be about the contestants…. But never attached a name directly :-P

        @NewF*YorkBabe. I guess you haven’t paid much attention because Benron, me and other people have complained about our comments being deleted. Sometimes it says your commetns are being “held for moderation” and never post and other times it just delets it right out. For instance, I posted and comment and when I came back later, it is deleted.

    Some of you smh….he was ASKED about this in an interview, so he wasn’t trying to get himself attention by randomly bringing this situation up. Steve is known for saying stuff like this, he doesn’t care but Nicki cannot accept that people disagree with her…..like what for?     So once again, because some is a ‘legend’ they’re allowed to say whatever they lilke. Has Tyler even see ONE Nicki audition, does he know anything about the acts she put through this year.

    Nicki is a stupid clown who is so blinded by her own hype she doesn’t see that she’s underperforming, but I’m really tired of these ‘legends’ who are human beings JUST LIKE US, thinking that record sales give them the right to disrespect anyone they don’t take seriously.

    Tyler clearly wanted to keep his job because out of all the judges last year he’s the only one that hasn’t found a new job since he got the ax. JLo’s on tour and Randy’s still on the panel.

    So yeah, Nicki does need to reassess her career and the way she speaks on Twitter but she is more the able to be a good judge on a Idol. She is talented but is too busy bragging out how much money she’s making to reach her full potential.
