Daley & Jessie J Perform ‘Remember Me’ On ‘Alan Carr’

Daley and Jessie J each possess voices that have been hailed for injecting soulfulness back into the UK mainstream scene. As such, it’s only fitting that the newcomer and chart-topper join forces on new single ‘Remember Me’.

Due out Sunday, the pair took to Alan Carr: Chatty Man tonight to perform the track.

Watch their flavoursome showing below…

Great showing!

How comes all your singers and rappers in the UK ARE WHITE. Do black people in the UK make pop and rock?

    • stony December 7, 2012

i was asking this question to myself like really but they have jls, leona lewis, misha bee, alexandra burke if i want to compare with the france where you will never ever find a black signing a deal in pop music only white .

      • Flop Cheeta Whora gave Rob an S** from her 20 guys December 7, 2012

JLS have 2 mixed race guys. Leona is mixed with blue eyes. Black women in UK do not look like her. Misha and Alexandra do not get airplay, have success or top the charts.

Doing pop for a white person is natural Pop is white. These people are RNB singers and rappers in the UK. I have spent time in the UK. There are loads of blacks – blacks have been there since 1940’s. Larithn was the only black person from the UK. to have a hit single and album. No one else.

Will there ever be a Rihanan from the UK? Could a west indian girl in the UK ever be a mega star in the UK?

I have been to France a ton of times of the last decade, and I know it is crazy racist. I had no idea that the music industry was tough for blacks in France.

They do not have the one drop rule in Europe and mixed people in europe do not see themselves as black. That rules out Emeli Sande, Stooshe, Leona, Liana La Havas, The saturdays, Little mix, etc.

      • Chloe December 7, 2012

        @Flop Cheeta

They do not have the one drop rule in Europe and mixed people in europe do not see themselves as black.

        ___

Where in Europe have you been? I’m British and mixed race and if anything – most Mixed race people here beg to be Black.

I agree, there aren’t alot of Black/Mixed race mainstream UK acts who gather strong commercial success but thats because the majority of Black acts are grime rappers and bashment artists. There are THOUSANDS of Black grime rappers and Bashment artists and Grime and Bashment are not mainstream genre’s.

Btw, Tinchy Stryder/Tinie Tempah/Dizzee Rascal/Labrinth and plenty more are Black artists who have practically owned the UK charts thus far.

I do think that the UK is very tolerable in Race relations but you have to accept the fact that UK history and US history is different. Especially when it comes to Black relations.

        Chole,

You are lying. I am American Born, but one of my parents was born in Sweden, I have been to the UK – I have cousins there. Mixed race people do not BEG to be black, They hide it. Olympic Gold medal winner is Jessia Ennis Barely mentions her black dad. Leona see herself as mixed. Brist accusse Obama and Halle as being racist for saying they are black . The UK census has Mixed ahead of blacks. They even say, there are more mixed babies being born than black babies and mixed population in the UK is now bigger than the black.

Tinchy Stryder/Tinie Tempah/Dizzee Rascal/Labrinth and plenty more are Black artists who have practically owned the UK charts thus far. None of the black men u names could f*** with Example when it comes to Album sales and arena tours. Black women in the UK are not bashment or grime, they do RNB, but they do not get signed like the white girls.

The UK is not tolerant of race…….the blacks are just more tolerant of how they are treated. Hence why you will never HAVE BLACK FAMILY ( wife and kids ) at number 10 downing street. You do not even have black TV shows out there in this day an age. We do.

There’s Tinie Tempah, Labyrinth, Emeli Sande, JLS, Leona Lewis to name but a few.

      • Flop Cheeta Whora gave Rob an S** from her 20 guys December 7, 2012

Has tinie had a hit in the UK 2012? Leona and emelie are mixed – white moms. They do not allow the one drop rule in the UK. Mixed people in the UK do not screamm ” I am black ”. Anyone other black ( not mixed ) act in the UK that had a smash year in the UK 2012?

      • Flop Cheeta Whora gave Rob an S** from her 20 guys December 7, 2012

There is still more whites RNB and rap in the UK. That s*** would not fly in the UK. Could u imagine tons of black doing Country? The top female RNB singers in the UK are : Rita WOra, Tulisa, Jessie J. Can u imagine the top 3 RNB singers in the USA BEING WHITE ?

Example, Plan B and Professor green are the biggest selling rappers.

    • Jade December 8, 2012

I’m black and from the UK and Chloe and Andy are chatting s***. If you are white ,you can be as ‘soulful’ as you like’ and be as ‘urban’ as you want. Meanwhile they have alexandra burke singing the most watered down s*** ever. If you’re black you have to tone yourself down for the majority white audience.

That is how it is and anyone who makes excuses must consciously be trying to be blind to the current situation. It’s frustrating to have people like Adele be pushed to the forefront when I went to flipping school with girls who could sing adele out of the water any day. Never mind ay.

    • the real xoxo December 8, 2012

are you stupid? Rihanna is huge here in the UK. Emeli Sande is mixed and has the biggest selling album of 2012 here.

    • Britbutnotproud December 9, 2012

And to add insult to injury you get the likes of pharrell Williams Jay-z, LA Reid, Usher, Will .i.am even Ne-Yo endorsing white singers who already have an advantage over Black and Ethnic minorities (BMEs). S**** mentality!!!!!!

  2. Flop Cheeta Whora gave Rob an S** from her 20 guys December 7, 2012
