Melanie Fiona certainly knows how to keep it moving.
We caught up with the vocal powerhouse recently at VH1 Divas 2012 where she confirmed that she is already working on the follow-up to the ‘The MF Life’ – her critically praised sophomore set which hit stores back in March.
Watch above as the Canadian belter dishes on the as-yet-untitled project, as well as her plans for the New Year.

She seems nice but she is not an artist. Who can you market her too? Outside of black women, who will buy her music?

How is she not a fucking artist? She writes her own music, plays an instrument, and is a great vocalist. You’re obviously just pressed that other people besides Rihanna have talent.

Melanie Fiona is one of the best things to happen to R&B in the last couple years. “The MF Life” was an amazing album and I think her career is only going to get better and better. I’m excited that she’s working on a new album; hopefully we can get that by the end of 2013! I’ve been a fan of her since day one and I’m so proud of her evolution and how she is staying true to her roots. AMAZING TALENT. Real recognizes real!!!

What’s the point of making music only 2,000 people will pay for. She should just tour clubs and release mix tapes.
