Have you ever had an album on repeat for years? If so, you and all of us here at That Grape Juice have something in common. For, Fantasia‘s third album ‘Back To Me’ has been in rotation since she blessed the charts with it back in 2010.
Fast forward almost three years and the American Idol alum is gearing up for the release of her fourth album, which she has revealed will boast a “Rock-ier” sound.

Very interesting! Longtime readers will note that Fantasia alluded to such a sound change during our interview with her early last year.
Needless to say, we can’t wait to hear what she’s been cooking in the studio. Too many are quick to write her off, yet she clearly has a firm grasp on the sound she wants to dabble in. The Tina Turner example made for a great point of reference – as they both boast a brand of soulfulness that lends itself well to other genres.
March couldn’t come sooner. Until it does, we’ll hit replay on ‘Move On Me’…

This makes me laugh. Who doe she plan on selling this “Rock-ier” album to? Pop and rock fans have zero use for her, and by and large don’t even know who she is. And if she comes out with some “rock-ier” sounding music, her long time R&B/Soul fans and urban radio would reject it. She’s kidding no one. This is just like when Kesha said she was gonna come out with a rock album. Please. At best one or two album tracks might have a water down guitar riff somewhere in the middle, but that’ll be about it. Her label probably wouldn’t even let her deviate from what’s she’s expected to do.
