Still fresh from topping the Billboard 200 with new album ‘Girl On Fire‘, Alicia Keys hit NYC to host her annual ‘Keep A Child Alive’ ball.
Held at the Apollo Theatre, the charitable event comes in aid of the foundation which holds the same name, founded to provide AIDS care for children and families affected by the disease across Africa.
Raising $1.3 million last night alone, the event saw many a star walk through its doors, including Gayle King and Chanel Iman.

Alicia looks fab as usual, the event was a wonderful success. Hopefully TGJ will have some footage of her performance with JHUD and Bonnie Raitt, that performance with Bonnie was classic, I think overall the charity raised 2.8 million, such a great job that Alicia does every year with this ball, Whoopi was funny and there were some really heart stirring speeches. Alicia is the truth Philanthropist, Musician, Writer, Producer, Singer, she is a true ICON. No wonder she continues to win.
