I have to agree. I am not buying another Kelly Rowland album based on that mess right there. She tried to sing and she failed, she tried runs and she failed. she looked good and succeeded but i can download a picture that would be a damn sight cheaper. Did she not see Chant’e Moore’s tribute? Did she not get the divas memo? When your live performances are so, so over many years and you agree to do this “you betta werk!” (ru-paul voice) she should’ve put in the time and not sounded like this. I think Kelly tries too hard. She seems to forget all the practice she had with DC. There is no reason for her to be singing off pitch and trying so hard after all of them years singing backup for Beyonce. When DC had to tour Kelly was not only doing backup but she also had to sing lead a little bit here and there on songs and dance at the same time for years. No reason why she could not be as cool and collective as Keri on stage. Keri knows her limited vocal range and is comfortable singing in her own key on stage and I have yet to see her try too hard like Kelly did. If Kelly was trying to compete with Adam Lambert then she should have realized that even though he is a drag queen he is still a man so naturally his voice is going to be louder and stronger than hers.

Gotta agree, I was really disappointed with Kelly’s performance. That whole Donna Summer tribute looked like caberet, it didn’t do tribute to Donna’s music or voice whatsoever. She may have had a large gay following but that doesn’t mean it should have been the camp mess that it was.
The Whitney tribute however, was a different thing. She was really paid tribute to; excellent vocalists with STAGE PRESENCE which Whitney had in abundance. I was surprised to see Ledisi, Sparks and Fiona with so much energy and on point vocals.
The worst thing is that out of ALL those performers it’s KELLY who has the most experience. She precedes nearly everyone there by at least a decade and she’s put in the so-so section to sing bits of a tribute when she could easily have done her OWN tribute section to BOTH artists and lead everyone else! Wasn’t it Kelly who cited both Whitney and Donna as being two of her biggest influences? Sigh, you see, if Kelly had come of that basic “Motivation/Ice” nonsense she’d be taken more seriously and probably could’ve lead the whole thing. Instead she’s thrown the Donna Summer section and handles it like a B-rate artist…

As a Kelly Rowland fan I am just so sick of her dissapointing her fans!!! She really needs to listen to her fans & go get intense vocal training/control. Sometimes I feel like as a fan she doesn’t care and sometimes does this on purposel!!! It’s not that she can’t sing it’s that she should be able to sing without struggling to belt simple notes. Keri Hilson is not a powerhouse vocalist but she sings effortless throughout her entire performance without flaws! She been in the game for over 15 yrs and u telliin me u can’t even do that! Ugh! Now for a show catering to dance music it’s appauling that there wasn’t someone added to honor Janet (she’s the Queen of Dance, along with Donna).
Overall the show was just not worth giving it any of your time!
If I knew it was going to be this dull ahead of time, I would have only tuned in for the beginning (Cici) and the end (Jordin, etc for the Whitney tribute).

Guys, first off the arrangement was not the best! And for those with negative comments, have you ever heard Donna Summer sing? I mean some of you are acting like she used to blow like Patti. This is not Kelly or Keri’s songs, they are singing Donna Summer’s songs, so compare them to Donna, not the artist you want them to out-sing!
Kelly did more than Donna usually did in her songs. Not recognizing different times, different styles, and having unrealistic fan expectations can make you unfairly judge this performance! There is only so many ways to sing “Last Dance”, especially in a tribute where you don’t want to stray to far from how the original artist sang it! First off donna summer slays 99% of the singers of this generation and that’s even in her later years. That was an awful tribute to her. I love Kelly I’ve been down since the self titled debut album of destiny’s child. WTF happened to her voice? She at one point sang better than Beyonce. Now I think Michelle could stand up to her. Dear Kelly work on that voice it has so much potential. Keri hilson also sounded a flat and squeaky mess. Adam was ok but how do you people dog Christina when he hit that sharp ass out of sync note(plus he almost fell). I haven’t wasted my time with a divas show since 2004. Cici brought geat eatto the stage and was a star. She entertained me and wasnt overly fussed with vocals as she PUT IN WORK AND EFFORT!!
Adam Lambert saved that Donna Summer tribute.
Think once Kelly heard Keri was added to tribute that was a wrap as far as the tribute being a success. Kelly big note on 1st song was horrid for her standards but rest was ok & Keri sounded weak throughout. Kelly timing was off also with vocals so made uncomfortable to listen to & im a fan of hers. She looked HOT.
I-C-E frosty was that look and shade Kelly gave Keri!! LoRd HaVe MeRcY!!
Enjoyed Kelly Clarkson!!
Thats Whitney tribute was cool but stiff in terms of representing dance music. Needed a bit more energy.

I loved Ciara’s performance. I so need Cici and C Breezy to do a MJ & Janet J style performance in the near future! I love to watch folks who truly enjoy performing and are actually good at it….aka Beyonce, Chris Bown, Ciara and 1 or 2 more!

Kelly wasn’t great, but to say that Keri sounded better than her is beyond reaching and is basically a lie. Kelly’s probably was breath control, but Keri was flat, thin and squeaky throughout the whole performance.

Kelly R started epic but crashed after that horrible note she belted,then she bounced back with those sexy sultry vocals when she started singing last dance then she took it to church and proved she is a vocalist,but it was too late cause Adam had already reached the finish line and stole the show.

Kelly Rowland did great in the beginning. It wasn’t until the last song she was singing so deep and manly. Her ending was strong though. Adam Lambert looked a hot mess, but sung well. Keri was not needed and it was painful to watch her perform and hear her sing. SHE HAS ALWAYS HAD A WEAK VOICE and she was struggling trying to hit notes, but didn’t hit any. She’s so bony as well. It looked like she was about to break when trying to sing. Ciara did horrible! It’s funny how people are so quick to say she did well because she danced a little. Her MJ tribute was humiliating and she did the same technical moves… no real power energy and small, weak voice.
