With her new EP ‘True’ drumming up a wholly legit buzz, Solange stopped by ‘Late Night With Jimmy  Fallon’ this week to perform the set’s lead single ‘Losing You’.

Proving that stage blazing is embedded in the Knowles DNA, the youngest of the renown clan turned in a stellar showing.

  7. Godra December 11, 2012

FLOP! Beywhore will endorse the Queen over her own sister. I don’t blame her though cause whatever her sister is singing sounds like a steaming lump of s***. A MESS

    • indiGo December 11, 2012

      i cant stand you f***

      • Just Sayin December 11, 2012

do not be upset with them. we should smile at it actually. it means only two things. 1. they know it is good but live miserable lives& they will never like much or 2. they really are just dumb and do not know any better. I find both worthy of the giggles.
This was so cute for Solange. They say mess, but she was on key. She gave her art, and some can not see that. Only because when they wake up in the morning and step outside, they may see poverty and crime. So, for entertainment they always want what they could never achieve. Fame, lights, action, money, sells, etc. No real artist and lover of music would call this a mess. They may say, I dont like the song personally and that is always fine, but Mess, you’re trying it and I call b*******.

  8. ƸӜƷ MC ƸӜƷ December 11, 2012

She has an impeccable fashion style. She is talented and I liked this performance but it could have been a little better.

  9. ƸӜƷ MC ƸӜƷ December 11, 2012

  13. pat December 11, 2012

    cute

  14. indiGo December 11, 2012

    Way to go Solange..AMAZING!

  15. Just Sayin December 11, 2012

anyone that hates on this should find GOD, for he brings peace. This song is so CUTE and the EP is just as good. This performance was GOOD. The song is chill, so should the live version. The band, back up singers, and the lighting was on point. Solange sound good too, and it took me back to an old school jam session. Not everything needs to be hair flips and going off. That runs the line of living in a box. Open your minds and allow all vibes in when it comes to music. So quick to call someone a flop when in the end they do more than you. Stop hating because this is good music, something that is in need.

I totally understand your frustration but we have to remember that this is TGJ. The musical taste of most people on this site is shaped by the Billboard Top 10 and/or who is popular at the moment. Most know absolutely nothing about music.

Anyway, I really appreciate your comment. I am so feeling Solange right now. 🙂

  16. Mrs Robyn Brown (BEYONCE’S WEAVE) December 11, 2012

    So boring.

  17. Just Sayin December 11, 2012

seriously all the negative on a postive, turns me off from this site. deleting out of history and finding a site that actually has some nice things to say from time to time. this stan war is rather old and reminds me of miserable people.

    • SHUH December 11, 2012

And I can guarantee it’s by stan’s of artists that cant pick up a pen to write their own songs, or stan’s of artists who can barely hold a note. I’m more than likely right. This site is a f*****’ flop of stanwars and praising the least talented artist.

    • cocobutta December 11, 2012

Love my TGJ but agree about the silly stans that negative when not needed!!

  18. Yeezy December 11, 2012

I Love Solange!!!! Great Music Great Style And Always Staying True And Expressing Her Music Voice…. Too Bad The Other Blk PPL Commenting On This Site Cant Support Creativity…. If She Ws P**** Poppin Or Talking About Strippers Everyone Would Be All About It….. #IfOnlyHatersHadGoalsOrAccomplishments

  19. BitchICan’tEvenSpellWelfare December 11, 2012

Loved the performance! And I love “True.”

  20. GREG December 11, 2012

i dont even care one way or the other….no shade…….she is a star only because of beyonce……oh well maybe she will be the next famous sibling like Janet Jackson…….bahahaha…..NOT.

  21. nick December 11, 2012

this was just a breath of fresh air: lovely: gun: soulful old skool., love love love her?!!

  22. María December 11, 2012

Her new ep is really good, real talent and she is a really good performer.
She doesn’t need to do a matrix move to be a good performer.
    Do your thing Solange!!

  23. Floridaevans December 11, 2012

Solange’s artistry just keeps getting better and better! The performance was great! I love to see an artist enjoying what they are doing. She is beaming!

    & “True” is so good.

The negativity towards her is downright ridiculous. But that’s okay, “Losing You” has already made a couple of Top 50 Songs of 2012 lists. On these same lists, you will also see those who are absent…ooops.

    • MaZ December 11, 2012

      That’s right!

  24. WhompWhomp December 11, 2012

Gurl BOOM! Can you say a Diana Tracey Ellis Ross hot MESS meets Jimmy the Cricket! She should stick to playing in animal prints because SINGING is NOT her Ministry! Maybe she can bring Big Sister Bey her Pepsi products backstage after she SLAYS on every performance. SOFLOP Go away PLEASE and that is the TRUTH!

  25. Jcrewedup December 11, 2012

Great performance! If only all pop music could be this good….

The bitter ^^^^^^^ amongst us have no clue about music but that’s not our concern.

Keep loving Solange. Keep being “True.” Keep moving music forward.

  26. Kaydee December 11, 2012

Aw Beys baby sis, they’re looking more and more alike damn.

  27. Kaydee December 11, 2012

Those Knowles sisters have natural rhythem but there was something missing from this performance.

  28. Marcus December 11, 2012

    I love her. Hi Haters!

  29. Mary Mary Why You Buggin’ December 11, 2012

Wow, look at all of the negative energy. That’s actually kinda sick.

Anyway, the performance was excellent! Viva la SOLANGE!!!!!

It turns out that @Floridaevans is right about the year end lists.

    Stereogum-Top 10 Videos of 2012 #8 Solange- “Losing You”
Consequences of Sound- Top 50 Songs of 2012- #35- “Losing You”
Pretty Much Amazing- Top 105 Songs of 2012- “Losing You”

Why are you all mad at her for being an artist? I don’t get it.

  30. MaZ December 11, 2012

    Gotta love her!

Can I get a -100, whores with no taste?

You really need to get your life together! Solange succeed where your favorites can’t…

    Creativity and Talent!

  31. Teacher December 11, 2012

I’m glad she has her own style and vision instead of being ‘inspired'(by her sister’s definition) by other’s work!

  32. BitchICan’tEvenSpellWelfare December 11, 2012

The Beyonce shade is unnecessary. The fact of the matter is that Beyonce and Solange have nothing in common as artists. They are speaking completely different language as artists and your failed shade only speaks to YOUR very limited perspective on art.

  33. Dunk December 11, 2012

This performance was PERFECTION!!!!!! 10/10 LOVED IT< LOVE THE SONG AND LOOOOVE SOLANGE!
