With the heat from her blazing beef with Azealia Banks cooling, Angel Haze has hit the promotional trail – landing, most recently, in Interview magazine.
And while the rapper’s missing bottoms are sure to set tongues wagging, her interview is equally as compelling.
The 21 year old, who recently signed with Universal Republic, dishes on on her love for Eminem (who she credits with birthing her love for Rap), her rapid rise, wanting to be a rock star and more.
Peep quotes from the Detroit bred femcee after the jump…
On Why She Loves Eminem:
“I was irrevocably smitten with him because of how honest and brash and blunt he was—and how much of a fuck he didn’t give.”
On Her Rise:
“I don’t think anyone—regardless of how cocky they are—is ever prepared for this.”
On Wanting to be a Rock Star:
“There are so many criteria you have to meet if you say you want to be a rapper. (I want to be a rock star) With rock stars, it’s about how crazy they are. They get to do whatever they want.”
Interesting. And with there being much more to Haze’s tale (i.e. brought up in an Evangelical church, being sexually abused from age of 7, and being “pansexual”), she definitely has a “story” that almost demands to be heard.
We imagine much of that will be channeled into her debut album ‘Dirty Gold’, which is slated for release later this year.
